THE MOM OF THE YEAR: Mom is funny but keeps things in line. Mom’s best quality is that she has a very strong leader, & she can tell me that I’m wrong without having a fight with me. One time we were passing each other & we started to dance together. Just out of nowhere. Another funny time was when we were racing up the stairs. At the top, we started playing yarn-ball soccer! We laughed together. My mom is the best mom you could ever know.Written by: Leah, Grade 4

BREAKING NEWS: PAUL CALANDRELLA WINS PARENT OF THE YEAR AWARD: Good morning. I’m Lebanon news reporter Mars Bruno. On 12/19/16, Paul Calandrella won the Parent of the Year Award. His son, Dominic (9) nominated his father because of their recent trip to Montana & Wyoming. Dominic also recalled the first time his dad took him fishing & skiing, & when his dad bought him his first hunting suit. His dad is also an awesome baseball & basketball coach. But when his dad decided that his family would go to Montana and Wyoming to fish and hike, that really took the cake. Back to you, Susan. Written by: Dominic, Grade 4
