RGR – Marc and Debbie Rieger (Stabilizer) Marc and Debbie Rieger are from Plevna, a little town on the eastern most edge of Montana. Plevna is short grass, short rain fall, open country where a cow has to really work to earn a living. Marc and Debbie’s seed stock roots date back to the RX3, one of the first composites in the industry, developed by Pioneer Beef in Iowa. Since joining our Cooperator team in ‘97 their herd has become a strong maternal Stabilizer base.

RMP – Rempe Farms, Jim & Ron Rempe

Marc and Debbie Rieger

Rempe Farms is a diversified operation located in South Central Nebraska near Superior. This Stabilizer herd has evolved through 3 family generations of genetic selection. Data collection and using the latest technology are high priorities for the Rempes. All of their steers are fed at Decatur County Feed Yard, and the heifers get ultra-sounded. This means that every animal has carcass data turned into the system each year. Materially, all their cows have udder, disposition & phenotype scores, and are weighed annually. Rempe Farms has an extensive AI and ET program that is primarily focused on high $Profit Red Stabilizers. Along with managing the breeding program for Rempe Farms, Sam Rempe also manages the Elite Semen Cooperative for LCoC.

RTC – Rod & Tammy Cooke (Stabilizer) Rod and Tammy Cook live on their ranch north of Craig, Co. at an elevation of 7,000 ft. They bought their first Leachman Bulls in 1993. Every year since then, they have continued to buy some of the best high $Profit Stabilizer bulls to continue to improve their herd. They strongly believe Rod Cooke in the Leachman program, which has largely contributed to the ranches success. Due to the harsh winter/spring conditions, they calve in May and June. Their bulls will be sold at the Pap tested Loma sale in December. The Cook’s stabilizer herd is an excellent maternal herd that also excels in feedlot performance.

RTH – Scott Rittenhouse (Stabilizer) Scott, Sasha and daughter, Lara, live just outside of Springfield, Ohio. They started with purebred Gelbvieh cattle and began purchasing Leachman angus and stabilizer bulls several years ago to increase carcass quality. With a large portion of the calves going to feedlots it is important the cattle performed well for the feeders. Today the focus of the cow herd is to maintain problem free cattle that will put dollars back into your wallet. Scott, Sasha, Lara, Lexi, and Rylan Rittenhouse
