Some people always remember the people who have helped them in the past. Zareen Khan is one among them. At PTC Awards in 2014, Vindu Dara Singh was the first person she thanked after winning the best debut award for her movie Jatt James Bond. She was offered quite a lot of movies, but she rejected them. It was Vindu who convinced her to do the movie. She recalled his dialogue to her in Housefull 2 'Sosa pe kar lo bharosa' and it worked like a magic. Now she is working on her second movie called 'Ishq My Religion', and has other big offers, but has not forgotten to thank the person who made it happen.

As an actor, Katrina, who has shared screen space with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, aims to get her hands on good films, rather than focusing on whom she is cast with. "People want to work with them (the Khans) because they are icons of Hindi cinema, but I don't think people are saying that that's all they want to do. If you are an actor, your job is to act... to be a part of a good film and do good work," said the actress, who has done a film as serious as "Raajneeti" as well as a mix of comedies and romantic films. Having started with a box office dud like "Boom" and then going on to creating a success story started with "Namastey London", "Apne", "Partner", "Welcome", "Race" and "Singh Is Kinng", Katrina feels the current crop of films are "amazing", with women playing strong central roles. "Even in the films which I've done with Salman and Shah Rukh -- 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' -- both were extremely strong roles for me...for any girl to do. So, I don't think it's just about whom you are acting with," said the actress, who essayed a Pakistani spy in Salman-starrer "Ek Tha Tiger". Also a popular dancer courtesy her songs "Chikni chameli" and "Sheila ki jawani", Katrina is happy that she has worked with "almost all types of people". "I've worked with actors like Govinda, Irrfan Khan, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It's all been amazing," she said. She is currently filming "Fitoor" in which she is paired with "Aashiqui 2" fame actor Aditya Roy Kapur.

KAT

MAKES SHOCKING REVELATIONS ABOUT BOLLYWOOD

S

he battled Hindi diction woes and the 'outsider' tag to win over Bollywood audiences and has worked with top-notch stars and filmmakers in her over decade-long acting career. Model-turned-actress Katrina Kaif says the industry only has space for those who are passionate about their craft - age notwitstanding. Facing the arclights might seem like a cakewalk for many but Katrina, who at one point in her career, gave six back-to-back hits, doesn't find it easy. "It's a hard industry to work in. It's not easy on a person to be sometimes 14 to 15 hours on the sets. Sometimes, you don't have a lunch or dinner break. It's taxing on a person. You have to be passionate about making movies. So, till the time you are passionate about it, there is space for you in the industry," Katrina told IANS in an interview here. At 31, she has films like "Jagga

Jasoos" and "Fitoor" in her kitty. She doesn't see age as limitation in the field. Citing examples of actresses like Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, who came back to films after becoming mothers, Katrina said that it's not age that decides a woman's fate in showbiz. "Actresses like Madhuri and Sridevi have worked till the time they've wanted to. I think what happens with most women...it's law of nature...if they choose to get married and if they choose to have a family...and that will take her away from work for that particular time. "Otherwise, I think women work as long as they choose to. Kajol is doing great work till today, Aishwarya (Rai) has started doing some amazing work now. It's up to the individual...how much he or she is interested in pursuing and developing art," added the talented actress, who has roots in London.

so because it had actress and social media enthusiast Nargis Fakhri closing the show. Nargis has always had an inclination to do things differently and has always managed to successfully partake in endeavors that are at times risque but in the long run only prove her mettle. The gorgeous gal walked the ramp for Masaba looking absolutely stunning - an ensemble that had a soothing mix of pastel colours with quirky prints enhancing the beauty of the design. The theme for the show was 'Sugar Plum' and Nargis looked just the part. With a whacky hot pink headgear, an adorable toffee handbag and perfectly done hair and make-up by Adhuna Akhtar & Natasha Nischol, Nargis looked like a million bucks! Nargis said, "When I was approached to be the showstopper for this unique show, I was pretty excited. As a person, I love experimenting and doing things differently, and this did catch my fancy. Seeing Masaba's quirky and refreshing prints only made it easier to put things into perspective." Moreover, there is Nargis and her brand of toilet humour‌ Nargis Fakhri sure knows how to make people laugh. The actress recently tweeted that she has been carrying her poop around. Her shocked fans later realised that she meant a gift she had received - a cushion in the shape of the poop smiley. Talk of stinky humour.

RAVEENA TANDON SWEATING OVER BOLD SCENES Raveena Tandon, who is likely to play a political leader in her next, is said to have asked for intimate scenes in the film to be toned down. here are whispers in Bollywood corridors about Raveena Tandon being all hot and bothered about the sexual content in her next film, which is said to be loosely based on the life of assassinated Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. A source says, "Raveena has been in touch with the scriptwriter. She sat through the narration and asked for toning down the bold scenes. Once the final script is ready, she will be called for another round of narration after which the makers will launch their hunt for a director." Sources suggest the intimate scenes might be based on Bhutto's alleged involvement with a high profile cricketer with whom she allegedly shared a close relationship while studying at the Oxford University in the early '70s. An insider says the actress went to the UK for a meeting with the make-up artist working on the film. Adds the source, "A few looks have been worked out for her. She will try them and see what suits the role best. If everything falls in place, she will give her final nod to the film." Raveena remained unavailable for comment.

DOES SUNNY NEED TO REVAMP HER SEX SYMBOL IMAGE?

T

he sultry beauty seems to be getting typecast by the filmmakers as well as the audience, its high time the audience gets to see the different facet of her talent and personality! Apparently the ex-porn star grabbed all the eyeballs when she entered India's biggest reali-

ty show, Bigg Boss Season 5. The actress did capture many hearts and had her own mass following. Though she did not win the show but she somehow managed to enter Tinsel Town. Keeping her previous career in mind the filmmakers always expected Sunny Leone to add her hot vibe to their film. She has

been considered as a sex symbol and the audiences also expect a pinch of salacious flavor to the film she is in. Sunny Leone made her debut with Jism 2, where the film was filled with her sultry bikini and erotic moves, considering her other films, Shootout at Wadala, Raagini MMS 2 and Jackpot we

could see the filmmakers trying to mint money on Sunny's bold avataars and present her as a sex symbol. But, in her recent film, Leela Ek Paheli, in the trailer, to our surprise, we can see the actress has done a bit of an acting and we hope this film does proves out to be an image changer for the damsel.
