LC Vehicle Hire is an industry leading commercial vehicle supplier that provides both self drive rental and sales of LGV and HGV’s.

Leeds Commercial Ltd started business in 1957 as Carsapoint Ltd hiring cars and Lambretta scooters from the premises of the Grand Hotel garage in Harrogate and then moved to Stanningley Leeds in 1960. In 1962 we moved to larger premises on Chapeltown Road, Leeds and changed the trading name to Leeds Commercial. We became one of the first companies in Yorkshire to hire out commercial vehicles.
In 1967, North Eastern Gas Board were looking to hire a large number of vehicles to use for converting homes to natural gas. It became clear that Leeds Commercial would need to look for significantly larger premises and so in 1969 we moved in to The Roundhouse on Wellington Road in Leeds.
We stayed in this iconic building for over 50 years before again having to move to larger premises. 2022 saw the acquisition of our new Head Office which provides not just more space but state of the art workshop facilities and significantly more workshop capacity.
To this day we are still privately owned by the Miller family with Chris Miller continuing to head up the business as Managing Director. The company now runs in excess of 2500 specialist vehicles from its 6 rental locations and continues its focus on vehicle safety and compliance through its 6 fully equipped vehicle workshops.
