DECLARATION OF RON MARCUS 1, Ron Marcus, declare as follows:
1.
My name is Ron Marcus, and I am a resident of San Diego, California.
2.
I am a member of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and serve on the
board of directors of its San Diego C hapter.
3.
I live and work in San Diego County and regularly use, visit, and enjoy public
spaces in San Diego County.
4.
I am deeply concerned about the implications of the recent court decision
overturning San Diego's policy on the carry of concealed firearms. This dec is io n and the likely increase in the number of concealed and loaded firearms that w ill be present in public places increases my risk of being shot and threatens my safety and the safety of my loved ones, and thereby reduces m y e njoyment of the places I visit in San Diego.

I frequently spend time in parks and other public places across San Diego County.
I also often vis it music venues, community centers, and movie theaters, and frequently patronize
