tarted in 1999 by local fisherman and son Tom and Adam White, The Santa Barbara FisHouse located on Santa Barbara’s beautiful waterfront just steps from historic Stearns Wharf, has established itself in 15 years of operations as the premier place to go for seafood in Santa Barbara. Local Specialties like grilled or Macadamia nut crusted White Sea Bass, Grilled Local Lobster, Pan Seared Petrale Sole are prepared in the display kitchen. Start your experience off with a selection from the extensive and reasonably priced wine list, have a seat at the oyster bar and sample a few selections like blue point, hama hama or kummamoto oysters shucked right in front of you, or one of the creative libations coming from the friendly bar staff. If seafood isn’t your cup of tea and you brought your appetite, loosen your belt and give the 12 oz CAB ribeye a try-it’s 100% certified angus Newport beef, and bound to settle your inner cowboy. Tender baby back ribs and chicken are also available, as well as U.S.D.A. Prime Newport Top Sirloin and grilled prawns, grilled scallops or lobster combinations. The FisHouse is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, and also for brunch on Sundays-with offerings like Dungeness Crab Cakes Benedict, Lobster Omelet’s, Smoked Salmon Platters; as well as classics like Belgian Waffles and Huevos Rancheros. For lunch the simple, fresh honest fare includes grilled Wild King Salmon and Fish and Chips, as well as a selection of interesting and healthy salads.
