The Lawson Jazz Band competed at the Northwest Missouri State Jazz Festival and the Truman State Jazz Festival. The group took 1st place at both with Anna Tucker, Hunter Thompson and Haley Lewis receiving individual Outstanding Musicianship Awards. Photos by Meredith Tucker

SOLO & ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL
The following students performed solos for the MSHSAA District Solo and Ensemble Festival. Each student performed well and received awards for their efforts. These students include:

Hunter Thompson (10) - Silver, Saxophone Soloist

Makynzee Hubbard (10) - Bronze, Clarinet Soloist
Dylan Spor (11) - Bronze, Euphonium Soloist

Mshsaa Large Ensemble Contest
The Lawson Band performed for the MSHSAA Large Ensemble Festival, receiving a Superior (1) rating. The students diligently prepared for their performance and represented Lawson well!
