Take one sports field, add 50 tough New Zealand Warriors NRL training sessions, 13 hard-hitting NRL games plus three A-league matches over a short five month period and what do you end up with? A sports field that maintained its integrity throughout, and a dedicated team that took ground maintenance to a whole new level. At the onset of the pandemic earlier in the year, Central Coast Stadium in Gosford was chosen as one of the main venues to host NRL matches. It also became the training

base for the New Zealand Warriors, who relocated to the Central Coast throughout the duration of their season. Green Options took over maintenance of the grounds in 2013. The dedicated sports turf team and year-round intensive ground nutrition program delivered over the years has now put the ground into a league of its own. The picturesque sports venue, which enjoys views over Brisbane Water, is also home to A-League football team, the Central Coast Mariners.
“Our high level of nutrition and detailed maintenance program by the team at CCS supported the quick recovery of the ground throughout this season and sustained the perfect playing surface for both training and games of both codes,” explains Operations Manager, Nathan Humphreys. “This season was like no other for the Green Options team at Central Coast Stadium. We turned over the field six times between football and rugby league in the short space of four weeks, three of those
