STA Australia Management Update

It has been a very busy start to the 2020/2021 year for Sports Turf Association Australia with a couple of changes to the management committee and updates to the constitution. Chris Chapman has stepped back to Vice President after being accepted onto the STMA board for the USA. The relationship between STA Australia and STMA in the US are now bolstered by the inclusion of STA Australia as

one of its International Affiliates. This relationship will allow STA Australia to share and contribute to the wealth of international knowledge, research and development and networking with international experts on turf. STA Queensland President, Jarrod Bird was elected to take Chris’s place as the National President. Jarrod is the Head Grounds Manager for Queensland Cricket

and manages the cricket facilities at Allan Border Field for Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia. He is passionate about the sports turf industry and has helped his team in Qld put STA on the map, doubling their membership base and actively supporting the industry through education, professionalism and inclusiveness.
