Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. Each city has a lot of players that play in different teams. For example Leonel Messi is from Argentina, but he's always played in Barcelona, Spain. In Korea there is a soccer player that in this moment is playing in Germany. His name is Hungmin. He is 26 years old. In Korea it's obligatory to serve in the military. But there is an exception for players; if they win a medal in tournaments or also if they have a good participation in the world cup, they can skip the military service. But in this cause Son had some problems for skip to serve in the military that are‌. In Korea each man that is 18 years old is recruited, but there is a limit of age that is 26 years old.
There are different kinds of military service, like Army, Marine, Navy, or Air force. The time of this military service is around 2 years. Korea has longer military service than other countries. But there are 2 exceptions for athletes. They have to win Olympic medals or gold medals in the Asian games and they just have to serve 4 weeks in the military each 2 years. Son had his first opportunity to skip to serve in the military that was the world cup 2014, but his team was eliminated by Honduras. Also in 2014 Son couldn't go to Asian games because his fame club didn't give him permission and in those Asian games Korea was champion. Then he continued his career in Tottenham in 2015. When the world cup 2018 started, Son tried to pass to eight to skip the serve in the military but he couldn't either.
In 2018 the Asian games started so, Son had a new opportunity to skip to serve in the military and he could win with a score of 2-1 in the last soccer match. After a lot of hard work to skip to serve military, Son could continue his career in Totteham without having to postpone it for a long time.
