Am Law surveys and LawCrossing jobs data report suggest a positive growth in legal job market According to Harrison Barnes, CEO of LawCrossing, the last seven days alone saw an additional legal job listing of over 6,500 jobs from across the entire legal industry. Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2012 -- Am Law surveys and LawCrossing jobs data report suggest a positive growth in legal job market Two recent surveys from The Am Law Daily suggest that the widespread anxiety among new lawyers regarding the state of the legal industry is misplaced. Most new lawyers did get job offers from the firms where they worked as summer associates. 21 law firms responded to the Am Law survey, in which they revealed that they made offers to 1,314 of their 1,361 summer associates, a robust rate of 96.5 percent. This rate is nearly identical to the previous year’s offer rate. The total number of summer associates getting offers and the firms responding is also slightly higher compared to last year. These survey results dispel any anxiety and gloom raised by yet another of Am Law’s recently published survey where a considerable number of summer associates expressed anxiety over their employment chances upon graduation. Am Law’s positive jobs survey results are echoed by the findings of LawCrossing, the nation’s leading legal job opening research institute. LawCrossing reported an increasing number of attorney positions opening up across the country. The institute has a current listing of over 14,000 active attorney positions from various practice areas in law firms and legal departments across the country. The legal jobs data posted by the site also includes 16,000 law student positions, including 1,500 summer associate opportunities for summer 2013. According to Harrison Barnes, CEO of LawCrossing, the last seven days alone saw an additional legal job listing of over 6,500 jobs from across the entire legal industry. This includes paralegal jobs, attorney jobs, law student jobs and jobs from law firms, in-house jobs and government legal departments.
