https://www.facebook.com/TheMuseumOfInnocence?fref=photo iniţiativa s-a bucurat, culminând cu premiul pentru Muzeul European al Anului, acordat de Forumul European al muzeului în 2014 în cadrul ceremoniei găzduite de Muzeul de Artă al Estoniei de la Tallinn. Trebuie spus că acest muzeu a fost selectat câştigător dintr-o serie de 40 de candidate, cu argumentul că “poate fi văzut pur şi simplu ca un muzeu istoric al vieţii Istanbulului pentru a doua jumătate a secolului XX. Este un muzeu creat de scriitorul Orhan Pamuk ca o versiune integrală şi bazată pe obiecte a poveştii fictive de dragoste din romanul său omonim. Muzeul Inocenței este destinat să fie un model personal, local şi sustenabil pentru noi dezvoltări de muzee. Muzeul Inocenței inspiră şi stabileşte noi paradigme novatoare pentru sectorul muzeal. [...]”.3

[...] “.33 Are there similarities between the Museum of Innocence44 founded by Orhan Pamuk and The Romanian Folk Museum initiated by Horia Bern? Is it the case that each one of the two created a “personal” museum and not a “national” one? 55
