Crowds in the thousands come to view the French Opens in September. Created at the beginning of this century, the Open de France Mixed is a title that the great French, European and Argentinean professionals are keen to add to their achievements. Each season, the French Open’s line-up is of exceptional quality with the best European and International players worldwide. Chantilly will host 16 international teams and 8 ladies’ teams over 3 weeks and is the highlight of the French polo season. A show not to be missed!!

Meet The Team

Captained by Nina Clarkin, the leading ladies’ player in woman’s polo.

Nina Clarkin, UK – 10 goals

Nina is rated 10 goals, the highest handicap rating possible in polo, and she is unquestionably the world’s best female polo player. She has won the Argentine ladies open every time she played it for the La Dolfina team. Nina is the only female in history to have won the British Gold Cup mixed high goal. Nina has completed and won the Grand Slam of important international polo tournaments including the British Open at Cowdray Park, the Women’s Argentina Open, and the U.S. Open Women’s Polo Championship. She is credited for the introduction of Ladies Handicaps for the British Hurlingham Polo Association, along with other numerous accomplishments in the sport.

Lucy Taylor-Coddington, UK – 5 goals

Lucy has played for over 30 years and has played competitively in Argentina, Dubai, America, South Africa, Thailand, and many more. Lucy and Nina

alongside 2 other teammates won the French open in 2018 and the Victrix

Ladorum ladies high goal series in the UK 2017, 2019 and 2022. Lucy and Nina were part of the only ever (to date) all female team to enter a British HPA 8 goal mixed tournament. In 2007 they won seven straight matches including the final of the Gerald Balding at Cirencester Park and in 2008 they won the Holden White at Cowdray Park, 42 teams entered that year.

Laura Farrell, USA – 1 goal

Laura is Vice President of sales for TTR Sotheby’s International Realty in the Virginia Countryside, just outside of Washington DC. Laura started the TTR Sotheby’s team in 2020. Her ladies team won several tournaments in 2022 including the Maryland and Virginia USPA 8-12g Eastern Woman’s Challenge Cup. TTR Sotheby’s won Central America’s second Pink Polo tournament in Guatemala in March 2023.
