I hope that this is the last issue that will be a little later than planned. I’m still recovering from the operation on my gallbladder - but every week I can feel improvements. Maybe by the end of October...

So, I missed taking part in the What3Words Treasure Hunt, but with the photos on pages 22 and 23 I can almost feel that I was there. There is also a report on page 19, and of course the cover is from the event, too. St Mary’s Fayre was also an event where I had to sit on the sidelines, but managed to find some reading from the Books Stall. There is a report and photos on pages 12-13 and 21. I hope to be at the October Woodfest (see page 2, opposite) where I should be able to contribute for the Apple Pressing - and I’ll certainly be at the Second General Meeting of Launton Environmental Society on 25 October (see pages 10 and 30-31).

There is a report from the Speedwatch Group on page 38, and a detailed account from all Speedwatch sessions in August on pages 28-29,with some questions for readers.

There is news of big changes for Launton’s football teams and a chance for local businesses to sponsor team strips, all on page 17, and pages 32-33 features the first (I hope) of articles from Jennie Fairweather about dogs and dog training. There is all the normal content as well.
