From the Playing Field Association’s 50th Anniversary Events in the Sports & Social Hall
Our 50th anniversary celebrations continued in April with the 80’s night which proved a great success. Tickets sold out and the hall was full of music, costumes and dancing: see the photos with this story.
On 11 May we are hosting the amazing tribute band Like The Beatles.
Like... The Beatles are as close to the original band as you can get. From the obsessive attention to detail in the musicianship and characterisation to the replica costumes, instruments and equipment, they are completely dedicated to bringing audiences the most technically accurate experience of The Beatles a tribute band can get. Their love for and obsession with The Beatles is apparent in every aspect of their performance.

And don’t forget the Family Day in the Hall and on the Field on 6 July: as there is no fete for 2024, this should be a spectacular event.
It has also been great to see new faces in the bar as more people realise it is open to everyone, great value prices and with no membership required.
