A RECORDBREAKING RALLY As you'll read elsewhere in this issue, more boats entered this year's rally than ever before. Along with the increased numbers, the event had some exciting new features. For the first time ever, fleet members paraded past the western tip of Shelter Island on October 26, as they made their way out to the starting line. A fireboat saluted them with a shower of spray, and a variety of TV and print reporters were on hand to capture the excitement.
