Food from around the world was the order of the day on April 14, as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute held its Seventh Annual Cultural Cook-off. Latino groups participating included Phi Iota Alpha, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and Lambda Upsilon Lambda.
Gateway to Entrepreneurial Tomorrow’s (GET) Fourth Annual Hudson Valley Entrepreneurial Conference and Expo Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie hosted this event. Cutting the ribbon was Expo Coordinator Melissa Utsett. Watching at her left was GET President Enrique “Rob” Lunski and at the right was State Senator Stephen Saland (R-Poughkeepsie).
23rd Annual Somos Conference Attendees at Friday night’s receptions included Buffalo City Court Judge Betty Calvo Torres and Wallkill Town Justice Jaime Santana. Mike was joined by Hilda Rosario Escher of the Rochester’s Ibero-American Action League and Lourdes Iglesias of Hispanics United of Buffalo.
