On top of the sales triumph, Apple has also confirmed that its 3.0 OS, available to both iPhone 3G and iPod Touch owners, has already been downloaded over six million times. iPhone Porn The new parental controls added to the iPhone in the recent 3.0 OS update mean that fully-fledged adult content could be heading to Apple App Store. A recent update to the application ‘Hottest Girls’ introduces full nudity to the equation, which certainly wouldn’t have passed through Apple’s approvals process prior to introduction of the 3.0 update’s parental controls. Online Woolies Woolworths has been revived online by home shopping firm Shop Direct. The online multi-brand retailer bought the Woolworths brand in February after the 100-year-old high street version collapsed financially. Woolworths.co.uk has been developed around the four most popular product categories of toys, children’s wear, entertainment and party goods. The online store will include a version of the famous Woolworths “pic ‘n‘mix” sweets, now called “click ‘n‘ mix”. Although the site is aimed at capturing as much of the feel of the original family store with everything in one place, it will sell a bigger selection of goods. Soho House Fined The Business Software Alliance (BSA) has announced its first major victory as part of its London anti-piracy campaign. According to the BSA, London exclusive member‘s club Soho House was found to be using un-licensed Microsoft software. It chose to settle with the anti-piracy group for an undisclosed fee. The settlement comes two weeks into a two-month campaign the BSA is running in London aimed at informing, educating and enforcing compliance with companies using under-licensed or illegal software. “Businesses that persist in installing and using illegal software are infringing copyright legislation and directly threaten the business environment at the heart of London's growth, particularly the vital technology and creative sector,” said BSA spokeswoman Alyna Cope. Windows 7 Downgrades Microsoft has revealed it will ship certain editions of Windows 7 with up to 18 months downgrade rights. The vendor will offer users of Windows 7 ‘Professional’ and ‘Ultimate’ the option to switch to Windows Vista or Windows XP until 1st April 2011. Volume licensees will also be able to downgrade to any previous version of the Operating System, as has always been the case with new releases. Microsoft has warned that downgrade rights for XP may end sooner than 18 months if it releases a service pack. Vista will be unaffected.
