Interacting with area elementary school children is one of the priorities for the Tech’s student athletes each year.
making a difference LA Tech student-athletes volunteered more than 4,000 hours of community service this past school year with all 16 Division I sanctioned programs involved in some aspect of giving back to the community. Community service projects range from interaction with local schools to the Boys and Girls Club to the Methodist Children’s Home to the local retirement/nursing homes to the DART Pumpkin Patch.

The Lady Techster softball team raised more than $6,500 last year for the local chapter of the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team (DART) during its DART Charity Softball Weekend series against Fresno State.
