Treana Vickery

Treana Vickery enjoys doing gymnastics, playing the piano and singing. She speaks English and Spanish and is learning Mandarin. She has four siblings: an older sister, two older brothers, and a younger brother. Treana wants to inform people about how technology is used in fashion as well as how fast fashion is harming the planet in the hopes that people reconsider the kind of clothes they buy. She hopes you enjoy reading this magazine.

Ben Pont
Ben Pont likes playing video games, and he is in band. Ben likes hanging out with his friends and playing with his dogs. Ben is writing about becoming an engineer and some of the different degrees involved in the engineering field. Ben hopes to become an engineer at NASA or Space X, but if he decides not to be either of those, he will probably search for some sort of career in the military or the police force.

Zach May likes playing the viola, biking, playing tennis, and enjoys video games. He speaks English and Mandarin and is currently learning Japanese. He is writing to inform others about how climate change is destructive to our planet and how technology can solve that problem and save many people. He wants people to know how dangerous climate change could be, and how technology is an important part in eradicating climate change.


Kirthi Korattur
Kirthi Korattur enjoys playing the violin, which she has done for nine years. She is part of LASA’s debate team and enjoys competing at debate tournaments. Kirthi speaks English and Tamil and is learning Latin. In this magazine, Kirthi writes about the use of technology in medicine and biotechnology. She finds this topic interesting and wants to pursue biotechnology further when she is older.
Jackson McNelis
Jackson McNelis likes playing lacrosse, snowboarding and biking. Jackson is writing about how technology affects Austin and new startups along with larger companies’ involvement in the Austin community. Jackson also wants to get a degree in computer science at USAFA. He plans to work in the military for a couple years to get rid of any debt then hopefully either continue a path in the Air Force or get a new job in software development.
