If you need ideas for adding a bit of creativity into your marketing plan then look no further. We have pulled together some of our favourite calendar dates and awareness days for you to keep in mind between July and October, so read on to discover how you can incorporate these into your marketing activities...

July 30th: International Friendship Day International Friendship Day is a fantastic way to help your customers understand the importance of appreciating those they hold close to our hearts. A framed photo capturing a happy memory can be one of the most heart-warming gifts to receive, so encourage your customers to share their fondest friendship photos on social media and, if possible, offer to frame your favourite one for free!

August 19th: World Photography Day World Photography Day is a brilliant opportunity to encourage your customers to dig out any of their favourite photographs, whilst showcasing your framing skills to show them what you can offer. Post some of your favourite photography commissions you have worked on across your social media channels with the hashtag #worldphotographyday to reach an even wider audience.

September 1st: Back to school With the return to school being especially important this year as children and teachers head back after a far longer break than planned, be sure to encourage your customers to capture these special moments in the best way possible. Whether it be a first day of school photo or an achievement award, let your customers know that you are the go to person for preserving these special memories. September 21st: First Day of Autumn As we head into the picturesque season of Autumn, consider how you can adapt your studio or shop space to reflect the changing landscape and attract customers through the door. Think leafy displays, burnt orange themes and showcasing your most favourite autumnal art you have worked on. Take some inspiration from our 4walls Issue 36 artist, Matylda Konecka’s work here.

October 4: Grandparents Day Grandparents Day is the perfect way to attract your customers’ attention and showcase your skills through a variety of pieces you have worked on. Whether it be vintage photographs, family heirlooms or meaningful keepsakes, make sure you let your customers know that if they are looking to give the gift of a memory this Grandparents Day, your skills can help them.
