Larchmont Village hosts 2017 block party

Masselin’s July 4 party drew e-raves Children decorated bikes, and a piñata was part of the fun at the 37th annual Fourth of July block party of the Masselin Avenue Residential Association. Residents brought and shared dishes to the block party which took place on the 800900 blocks of Masselin. Other features included a S’mores table, temporary tattoo area and music and dancing. “It certainly ranks as one of the best, if not the best!,” wrote Fran Hentz in one of several emails praising the event. “We had a fabulous day and these emails came pouring in right after the street barricades came down,” said Carrie Muller. “Fantastic food, people and spirit! Partygoers mingled over tables of free food and drinks while jamming out to classic rock music courtesy of The Encroachments, a band made up of local Realtors, including Bruce Walker, one of the party’s organizers.
