After doing some type testing with both treatments of the visuals, it is in my opinion that going with this visual and a serif font is the best option. It not only opens up the opportunity to use both the typography and the visuals seperately and still having it be coherent and recognisable, it also relates back to the interior/exterior of the pub itself, as the sign out front and every typographic treatment in the pub itself has a serif font, it helps the viewer further in recognising the location from the advertisements he sees online.

This treatment of visuals also opens up further explorations in designing posters, flyers, namecards etc., as the head for example could be used as some type of “stamp” of the place (f.x. in corners of flyers, posters etc.).

There is also the possibility of making multiple variations of the “stamp”, each one depicting one queen (relat-

ing back to the coasters in the pub, which also could be replaced with these stamps on the back and the new typographic logo on the front).

This logo also gives the opportunity to play with brand colours, once they are clear.

I think this direction not only complements the “royal vibe” of the place, but also takes the branding towards a more smiplistic, modern style.
