Fresh Unique & New

a modern place with a soul

Madam Rubens Long Stool by SoonSalon

Designed to be the perfect image of an authentic Parisian apartment, our concept store L’appartement located in Wynwood (Miami, FL) offers an exclusive range of home decor pieces, furniture, accessories and art. As a result of a creative mix and match that expresses the typical French ultimate chic, we’re never ostentatious, always balanced with vintage details. Rare items and noble materials paired with modern furniture designed by forerunner makers. Everything here conveys a fresh French atmosphere. Our main focus when we imagined what L’appartement should look like was to curate an effortlessly refined living space. Here we feature brands and designers that have never shown their work in Miami. Sometimes it’s functional and essential, sometimes it’s more fancy and coveted, but it’s always different and always exclusive. We are merely putting together inspirations and flairs that compose an eclectic portrait of elegance “à la francaise.” If you ever picture what a typical Parisian interior could be, you will get it straight away when discovering our selection. We wanted to give birth to an authentic, modern yet warm place. Every artwork sourced by our team can create a conversation, and each item is the beginning of a very personal narrative. L’appartement gathers a whole universe, combining timeless aesthetic with affordable and highend design. We want to share our culture, open a window to our roots to offer a sneak

peak into what they call “french art de vivre,” but more than that, we want to infuse it to the Miami way of life. Mix it with the tropical chic flair of Florida in order to create a whole new blend that will only be yours. As an interior designer in France, I also worked on set creation. All of my projects were guided by my passion to combine furniture, with photography and different kinds of artwork. This is how I decided to create L’appartement. I truly believe that art, whatever its shape or origin, can be a magical translation of ones’ imagination. Interior design is the perfect scene to perform one’s taste in art. Once it has found its place, it will always be the prefect trigger of surprise and joy every day. So let’s transform your daily life into a glamorous and cozy home, which will sparkle with wellbeing and bliss. Welcome to L’appartement. Emmanuelle Bernard a.k.a. “Manue M”

The entrance hall sets the tone of your interior. Your guests will feel the atmosphere at first sight when stepping into the space. However, you have to keep it practical, because this room is where we need to find the essential objects of your daily life.

ENOstudio ENOstudio is a French editor of objects signed by the most gifted current designers. Our philosophy is to create simple, beautiful, curious objects to bring enchantment to our daily lives. ENOstudio observes the evolution of our everyday behaviors and asks the designers to tailor objects around these behaviors. ENOstudio emphasizes more on the uniqueness and timelessness of the “Hand Made Design”, rather than style and trend first. The Collection is born from the acquaintances between worldwide traditional knowhows and one designer.

French poet La Fontaine (adapted from the fabulist Aesop). The Wallhax Coat Rack may be considered as true artwork, a chair that rises from the wall. Serving as a hanger and pocket emptier, it will more than fulfill its purpose. 5

The Coogee Yellow Sofa will bring rich and dynamic texture.

Its colors are bold and it shows artistic curves. It pairs handsomely with the Lalinde Coffee Tables and the Bold Chairs, designed by Big Game from Moustache.

“

The Family room is the heart of a home. This is where most family memories are made, where you spend much time resting on a couch, reading and talking with friends. In here, I like to imagine the coziest living by creating a colorful, warm, and comfortable space. Details shall be real statements, and fit with the general vibe.

Moustache Since its launch in April 2009, Moustache, a French publishing house in the field of contemporary articles and home furnishings, under the impetus of Stéphane Arriubergé and Massimiliano Iorio, is merging associations in a network of complicity and expert knowledge in design fields. An active participant in the modern day writing of manufactured articles, Moustache introduces a collection which explores new approaches to production and consumption. Its objects and pieces of furniture invite readers to contemporary history. Due to market constraints linked to the ever-increasingly insistent demand for novelties and experiences on the market, Moustache prefers to build a long-term domestic world with a high cultural value. Rooted in the history of arts and techniques, the Moustache philosophy combines past design and pattern to the present; attentive and responsible production responds to his searches for new, aesthetic, function and relevant shapes.

Pot, Dylan Martorell, Ionna Vautrin et Inga Sempé, Scholten & Baijings, Raw Edges, and Ferréol Babin make up the uniqueness of this community. The result of this dynamic collaboration is a well thought-out dialogue between technique, strong identity, and contemporary use. Each individual piece brings a unique component that is essential to the distinction of the brand. Moustache is committed to the legacy and value of its pieces, culture, and potential uses. It offers to share soul and fun design through core values. The essence of its appeal, according to a liberal editorial line, is a collection of pieces that showcase the link between principles of simplicity and accessibility. A distinctive and remarkable brand, Moustache publishes a collection with an alluring character which continues to impress the design world with powerful distinction.

Sentou Sentou, a trend-setter in matters of design and lifestyle furnishings, creates and distributes designer furniture collections, light fixtures, textiles, tableware and decorative objects, to a highly discerning French and international customers in its three Parisian boutiques and professional showroom.

Moustache is surrounded with committed designers that believe in openly sharing personal convictions and points of view and integrating them into the brand. Together, François Azambourg, Big-Game, Sébastien Cordoléani, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Benjamin Graindorge, Constance Guisset, Bertjan

The X-Ray the Sofa by La Chance, perfectly accomplishes my mission. Designer Alain Gilles has cut out the superfluous by creating the X-Ray. With its pure lines, quality leather, touch of originality, and colored structure, it makes for a truly sculptural piece with a welcoming flair. To underline the elegance of the couch, I would place a Tapigri Rug under a Borghese Coffee

Table also by La Chance. The eccentric Madam Rubens Stools, next to a very comfortable Coogee Armchair will be the final touch. As per the colors, I would add the Salute Side Tables, designed by Sebastian Herkner from La Chance. The tables bring a special chic and original atmosphere to the room.

Living Room

In this living room, I imagine a cocktail event where guests are hosted with charm, elegance and glamour, in a comfy setting.

10

Alongside the sofa, the dog-shaped table by Ibride brings humor to the decor. To entertain your guests with ultimate chic, you can play your music on the “Cube” by Boite concept, an elegant marble sound speaker. 11

La Chance La Chance is a French furniture and lighting company founded by Jean-Baptiste Souletie and Louise Breguet. The brand features a cosmopolitan selection of work by the best designers of the new generation. The La Chance collection was created to epitomize the duo’s vision of French design, providing a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative furniture tradition. Their products are united by an emphasis on sophisticated, rich, and distinctive design produced using noble materials such as wood, marble, metal, glass, and leather. To create these Collections, La Chance gathers the best talents of the effervescent French “Nouvelle Vague” and seeks inspirations from around the world, drawing on the talent of designers from Italy, Netherlands, Israel, Sweden, and the US. The brand re-introduces warm and uninhibited luxury to design, aiming to break away from cold and impersonal conceptual design.

Soonsalon Soonsalon pieces are not only designed to make everyday life more comfortable and beautiful, but with a unique ability to put a smile on your face and perhaps a giggle! For a product to exist in the Soonsalon brand, it not only has to be functional and attractive, but extraordinarily special. You’ll find Soonsalon products all over the world. However, if you don’t want to travel across continents to experience these wonderful pieces of art, L’ appartement will delightfully deliver any products to you in the comfort of your home. Welcome to Soonsalon! 13

“

Personally, the kitchen is the most important room in the house, a friendly place for family gatherings and exchanges. Being the first room to greet the morning, it should feel cheerful. Touches of color can wake you up more than a cup of coffee!

“

The

For that reason, I chose pieces from Harto, a young brand full of pep. The Celeste Table and the Rosalie Chairs give you a fresh framework for joyful mornings. These lively colors are simply a pleasure for the eyes, providing lasting peace of mind.

Continuing in the mood, I added the eccentric Petite Gigue Chairs along colored lights from La Case de Cousin Paul. For an extra special touch, the walls are decorated with Curiosity Plates, a fact that reminds us that walls have ears!

La case de Cousin Paul La case de Cousin Paul were the first to invent their concept in 2005 and to be daring enough to begin in Europe. Since inception, they have forged a strong relationship between Thailand and France through exclusive use of the workshop in Thailand, and between traditional and technical innovations. Their goal has always been to strive for more design, greater reliability, and better technology within a range of colors that is always changing, and offering subtle, carefully chosen shades. La case de Cousin Paul constantly seeks to develop new products, improve the quality of production processes, maintain regular supply flow, and excellent working conditions within their workshops. With constant attention given to the evolution of the concept, they continue to benefit from a solid reputation of quality and authenticity.

La Cerise sur le gâteau Portrait of Anne Hubert: Anne Hubert left her native Normandy to study art and design in Paris. She then became a photo stylist for newspapers, magazines, and interior design companies. She loved to put her mark on everything that passes through her hands. Everyone respected her ideas so much, she decided to create her own design company and La Cerise sur le gâteau was born.

The Collection now offers its famous woven balls in larger versions to create beautiful and colorful lighting. Made from nylon woven thread and available in your choice of colors, the simple double or triple hanging lights make decorating a breeze. The length of the wire is adjustable for full customization and allows lighting to be personalized and fun.

Her collections reinterpret classic French household linens with a modern twist. Grandma’s tea towels, Toile de Jouy and Liberty, are prints with a hint of humor and touch of fun. Neon colors and showers of polka dots bring household basics back to life and have become her unique signature.

Kusmi Tea Harto Harto is a Parisian home furnishing studio created in 2013, with a second collection released in January 2014. Their creations are the result of a balance between elegant and smart features, often times hidden, that rely on European expertise. A collection adopted by resellers from France and beyond, Harto’s objective is to develop a dynamic reseller network that enables the brand to be recognized across Europe.

16

Since 1867, Kusmi Tea has embodied the art of blending in many forms, inviting multicultural means of expression and the unification of people all over the world. These forms come from the craft of blending exquisite teas with delicate flavors, fruits, and flowers, fusing 19th Century Russian heritage with French modern culture, and through the creation of distinctive colors unique to Kusmi. Currently, Kusmi offers 70 varieties of high quality black, green, and red teas and infusions using only whole leaves imported from countries such as China, India and Sri Lanka. The blends are flavored with the most delicate extracts, such as Madagascar Vanilla, Calabrian Bergamot, and fruits and flowers from Grasse. Kusmi teas are available in bulk with traditionally hand sewn cotton that preserves their quality and delicate aromas.

Dining

Petite Friture Petite Friture, a design editor created in 2009, was born with the will to promote young talents, and together develop a catalogue of objects, lighting, and small furniture that creates a vibration. The result is elegant and accessible objects that, in a simple and uninhibited manner, tell a story. Objects that understand our daily life and invite us to savor it.

For a dynamic and original interior, do not hesitate to add a variety of dining chairs. Each one can have its own color and style attributes. The idea here is to be creative! I mixed it up with Betty and Trame Chairs left the heads of the table for the Ronin Chairs, boasting their majestic marble back. The finishing touch is the Vertigo Pendant Light, which appears to float over you like an elegant embrace.

Good friends over for a nice meal, lights dimmed, and a beautifully dressed table is how I imagine the dining room. The simply impressive, contemporary, and elegant Ceramic Table Paralog by Triss is a great conversation piece.

TRISS Manufacturer and editor on design furniture for over 20 years, TRISS is specialized in high-end contemporary furniture. Since 2009, they have developed furniture of their own through exploring daring, innovative, and original styles.

Office

With the modern home office playing a variety of roles, keeping layout and organization practical is critical to prevent chaos and alleviate stress.

20

An ideal workstation, the geometric Honore Desk provides a hiding place for wires, essential for the organization of computers and other items. Surrounding the desk,

and in line with its pure and effective simplicity, I have chosen the Functional Bookcases by La Corbeille, a clever combination of a ladder and library, laying gracefully against the walls.

Mythical beasts have been investing themselves into our homes and their awe-inspiring presence is truly welcoming. The impactful Joe by ibride will never cease to amaze clients and coworkers with its whimsical and timeless design.

ibride

La Corbeille

Brought to life by three unbridled minds, ibride has become the emblem of a sensitive and instinctive design, born by living and moving objects. For almost 20 years now, enigmatic bestiaries and dreamlike creations have been nattering away in our interiors, joining in our conversations, and investing themselves in our homes. It is an encounter with an independent workshop of creation.

Since 1997, the La Corbeille Editions have been bringing objects both whimsical and timeless to the contemporary home. Originally, La Corbeille designed tableware collections. In 2008, with the launch of the Hô Ladder Library by Jocelyn Deris, the brand confirmed a new identity with a focus on furniture design. The Hô Ladder Library is extremely functional, occupies little space while providing ample storage. Visually, it inhabits the space in which it is placed with a whimsical practicality. 21

Boudoir “

In the past, a boudoir was a small room between the dining room and the bedroom. The Marquis de Sade, (1740-1814) in his literary works, helped develop a reputation for this small room dedicated to the privacy of women gossip.

Close friends can comfortably sit on the grey Coogee Loveseat and curl into the powdery softness of Ferm Living Cushions, which are exquisitely surrounded by the sculptural yet light Basil Side Tables. 22

The Colette Sofa Table cleverly adapts to the needs of your home. Thanks to its sliding system, its length can be adjusted. To define the area, the Jane Carpet also by Harto, is inspired by color spots and spread. It will bring joy and color to your floors. The thickness and softness of the carpet will make you feel like simply walking barefoot! Lucien is either a valet, bar stool, or step stool. On the powdery pink Diva Console, find the Edmée Jewelry Box and admire yourself in the Modeste Mirror.

Also, what would a woman do without a beautiful and imposing standing mirror like the Iconic, which stands as a statue. The wood pedestal contrasts with the thickness of the mirror it supports.

As for this boudoir-inspired dressing room, creative clothing, bags, jewelry, and sunglasses will themselves be a conversion topic.

That’s what leads the innovation and creation of special handmade wooden sunglasses. From the laminated and skateboard production, to the use of original materials such as granite, these wooden sunglasses distinguish themselves with their technicality. The empirical approach of the materials allows REZIN to be at the forefront of crafted and stylistic innovation.

G.Kero G.Kero is the brand and pseudonym of artist Marguerite Bartherotte, featuring colorful characters that dance on shirts, paintbrushes, and pens that sweep across fabric. After studying art at the La Cambre School in Belgium, the artist broke free from the strict confines of the art world to have some fun in the ever changing world of fashion. Marguerite finds inspiration in everything that brings joy; whether life, music, or nature. The unique and graceful portrayal of these colorful characters is part of the G.Kero brand signature. The bohemian artist usually paints her collections in friend’s homes and willingly shares stories of the inspirations and beginnings of G.Kero. 25

Children‘s Room

A child’s life unfolds mostly in their room. It is their very own kingdom of play, full of dreams and stories of limitless imagination. It is also the place for homework and quiet slumber.

26

After a day at school, they may sit down on the adorable offices from Les Gambettes, reminding parents of their own scholastic childhood. Daydreaming, little ones can let their imaginations wander as they watch flying kites on the wallpaper by Ferm Living. To hide from gentle monsters, they may get inside their tent. Once the monsters are gone, tea can be served in a knitted tea set by Anne-Claire Petit, while surrounded by a multitude of lovely cushions, that are also great playmates.

Sitting on their knitted ottoman, they can admire their work because they can customize their universe with stickers from MIMI’lou. Pretty garlands by La case de Cousin Paul will illuminate the cocoon of these little dreamers. 27

Anne-Claire Petit

Les Gambettes Two young women met in college at the end of the 90’s. Their common traits included their funny haircuts, yellow t-shirts, and non-stop chatter. Upon graduation, they both worked in the fashion world; one spotting and sourcing trending accessories and the other organizing fashion events. These professional activities became their passions. Soon they became fed up with the sad colors, soulless chairs, standard tables, and boring home decor in the mainstream world. In 2011, they decided to transition away from fashion catwalks and move into furniture catwalks, creating their own Rétro collection with one promise: to make their furniture into a real fashion accessory.

MIMI’lou MIMI’lou was created in 2005 by German native, Miriam Derville, who worked as artistic director for brands such as Givenchy, Lacoste, Hugo Boss and Guerlain. She shares her passion for drawing with her children, and paints their stuffed animals on the walls of their room. Her children loved them and soon guests and their friends would ask for them. Soon, she realized that in order to share these special drawings with others, they could be made with tape. Mimi’lou was instantly born! Her designs and products are inspired by the fanciful kids-world full of poetry where you can read a book with your hippo, whisper a secret to your deer or take your butterfly out for a walk…associating emotions with nice design. Today MIMI’lou has expanded to making bags, lamps, cushions, stationery, and many other children’s products.

Taking up the challenge to design chairs and desks with high heels with a focus on sweet colors and cute prints, a collection of 50’s inspired retro design furniture, in step with the latest Fashion Week trends, was created. The collection boasts bright colors and eye-catching prints through its chairs, tables, desks, and accessories mixing metal, wood, and of course, the most popular surface from the 50’s, Formica. Designed in France and made in Europe by meticulous craftsmen, Les Gambettes introduces lively, comfortable, and solid furniture in over 200 retail stores and in many restaurants and hotels throughout the world.

Anne-Claire Petit (Breda, The Netherlands, 1962) studied industrial design in Eindhoven, where she specialized in textile design. While there, she became interested in handicrafts such as printing, weaving, and crochet. The present style in her Collections continue to reflect her love for traditional craftsmanship. After finishing her studies, Anne-Claire began her career in 1986 as a designer for Esprit. After four years, she took the plunge and started her own company, “Anne-Claire Petit Accessories”. The Company soon became well-known for its shawls and other fashion accessories. From idea to final product, the creative team that works for AnneClaire Petit Accessories brainstorms ideas, chooses color schemes, and creates original sketches. Products are later then shipped to a Dutch warehouse and distributed all over the world. With recognizable color schemes and ‘feel good’ products, ranging from an extended animal family of plush and baby toys, deco objects of furniture, and cushions to wallets. In the chaos of present times, AnneClaire sees it as her personal goal to cherish and preserve traditional textile techniques by creating modern objects for contemporary homes.

Ferm Living DANISH DESIGN - MADE WITH LOVE Ferm Living draws on Scandinavian design traditions and simple aesthetics - but with a distinctive graphic edge that makes every item firmly contemporary. Ferm Living is rooted in Denmark, where Trine Andersen founded a graphic design studio in 2005. The decision to start her own business sprang from a personal vision of a bird on a branch, ready to take off. That bird remains a part of the Ferm Living logo today. Within the Ferm Living house, you will find products for every interior. The range includes wallpaper, textiles, decorative objects, wall stickers, designs for the kitchen, bathroom and office, as well as a large collection for kids. The designs come in many different materials: organic cotton, recycled paper, leather, wood, porcelain and metals. Simply put, Ferm Living favors honest materials that craftsmen have used for millennia, and prefers sustainable and organic alternatives where feasible. The shape of a house is a recurring feature in Ferm Living designs. The products are made for people’s home environments, and the simple house shape is an iconic symbol that just says “home”. That is why the house shape is a graphic key element on Ferm Living labels, business cards, shop inventory, and product design.

Outdoor “

In Paris when I was young, in order to enjoy the outdoors, we would meet among friends at the “Luco,” better known as Luxembourg Garden. We would converse, fantasize, solve the problems of the world or just relax on the so called Luxembourg Chair. Sophia Frederic’s reinvention of the gardens seating, for the company Fermob, now reaches beyond the gates of the famous Parisian park and conquers the world with their fresh and cheerful colors.

Miami would be the perfect setting to recreate the cozy atmosphere in your garden by adding the Flying Carpet. On the other hand, the Picnic Lounge by Fatboy is a portable piece meant to recreate a lounge at the beach. 30

For moments of relaxation, let yourself fall into the Buggle Up bean bag. Of course, I have not forgotten our four-legged friends. They have their very own assorted collection of adorable Doggie Lounge Beds. 31

Fermob The Luxembourg range, initially produced for the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, has become something of a legend in its own right. Its style is an emblem of French design – an expression of French culture in furniture form! Today, Luxembourg is a fabulous collection made from aluminium whose watchwords are lightness, joie de vivre and conviviality. Recently, Fermob asked Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg, created in 1923 in the Paris Parks Department workshops, and which Fermob still manufactures today for the City’s public gardens. The result was a whole collection of furniture with the same distinctive lines and forms, combining the lightness and LUXEMBOURG resistance of aluminium with the comfort of curved seat slats.

Fatboy Fatboy is a lifestyle brand that excels in thinking outside the box. Fatboy has been challenging the concepts of lifestyle products since 2002, when it set out to create the perfect lounge chair— designed for fashion, for comfort, and tailored for an unmatched lounging experience. Today, Fatboy brings energizing comfort and smiles to people in more than 50 countries worldwide with a growing line of lifestyle products. Fatboy’s identity is anchored in iconic European design mixed with a creative spirit and a sense of humor that extends into all of their product offerings. Fatboy is known for creating iconic products with a simple yet compelling idea reflected in their tagline, “Deleting Dull.” The tagline aligns with what has remained the core of the Fatboy brand philosophy from birth, which is to design a captivating product to evoke an authentic change in people’s minds for the better, through the experience they have with their lifestyle products.

Linapoum

Art of Soule

The Linapoum jewels are entirely designed and made by Emeline Sirvent in her Parisian studio. Following digital drawings, the jewels go into production and are made by Parisian artisans, then finalized in her workshop. The materials used include brass, paper with the use of a laser cutting technique, cold enamel, semi-precious stones and Swarovski rhinestones.

Founded in 2010 by Julien Maisonnave and Mathieu Labat, “Art of Soule” has become a “Made in France” symbol. Mathieu and Julien quitted their comfortable jobs in banking and in the surf industry to focus their energy in a lost cause: the rebirth of the original french espadrille made in Mauléon. In solid, stripes, print, embroideries, mesh, or Swarovski stones, the ancestral espadrille has never offered such a choice of styles. Designed in Biarritz, France. Made in Mauléon Soule, France. 35

Welcome Home “

This is my dream world. A timeless place, beyond the diktats of today’s trends, where designers like Achille Castiglioni, who created the famous Arco lamps 40 years ago, would discuss with the “Nouvelle Vague” of European designers like François Azambourg or Noé DuchaufourLawrance. A world where those brilliant minds imagined and produced for us inventive, attractive and practical items which make our daily life so enjoyable.
