Delaney “Laney” Lemus is 20 years old and a native of Nipomo. She attended St. Patrick’s Elementary School & graduated from Nipomo High School in 2008. After completing her first year at Cal Poly, she was diagnosed (August 2009) with a Wilms Tumor (childhood kidney cancer). The tumor & kidney were removed and she received chemo treatments for several months. After nine months of remission, the tumor returned in December 2010. She is currently undergoing treatment at UCSF Children’s Medical Center.
