MY LANDER
COLLEGE OF ARTS & HUMANITIES Did you know? I
Lander has numerous student organizations and honor societies available for students in each of the College of Arts and Humanities’ departments.
I
Lander requires its Spanish majors to spend at least six weeks abroad in an approved program of study. Students in all majors can spend a semester studying at Lander’s sister campus in Great Britain.
Patrick Rodden
Music Education Graduate, ’07
“I’m Patrick Rodden, and this is my Lander. As a music education major, I had four great years performing with the Old Main Singers and being part of Opera Scenes and the Lander University Wind Ensemble. I count my music professors as both mentors and friends. I also had the opportunity to really get involved with campus activities. As a Resident Assistant, I saw how living on campus can create school spirit and help students build friendships. As a Presidential Ambassador, I was part of a close-knit group of students who introduced visitors to Lander. Good times, good friends and a great education … what more could you ask for in a college?”
I
The College of Arts and Humanities regularly sponsors study tours to cultural centers like New York, London, Rome, Paris and Amsterdam.
I
Music students are encouraged to participate in Lander’s musical groups, such as the Jazz, Brass, Percussion or Woodwind ensembles, University Singers, Old Main Singers and the Lander Wind Ensemble.
