The Centre @ Halton Weekend Supervisor Hours: 8 per week Salary: £6.08 per hour This is a new part-time paid post and the duties will include responsibility for the smooth running of the coffee shop, supporting the volunteers and being responsible for the centre as a whole at weekends. Preparation of the hire rooms, checking and cleaning of the toilets where necessary and monitoring of the outdoor areas including skate park, picnic area, children's play area and ball park area are also included in the list of duties. This is a temporary vacancy for six months, to start as soon as possible, that may lead to increased hours and/or permanence. The successful applicant will be expected to work eight hours per weekend with one hour unpaid break. These eight hours may be worked 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday alternate week-ends. The pay rate is the current minimum adult wage. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage. Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure. Applicants must be willing to undertake food hygiene and first aid certificate courses. Expenses for certificates and disclosure will be met by the employer. Youth Action Business Development Manager (based in Blackburn) Hours: Full-time Salary: £27,000-£32,000 Youth Action is an independent community organisation working with young people aged 8 to 24 years old across Blackburn & Darwen and Lancashire. Established in 2003, they now have over 5,000 youth members and over 130 volunteers and mentors.
