The February 17, 2019 auction will be a special auction centered around a collection of Pop Art prints and paintings from Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Roy Lichtenstein from a Los Angeles collection assembled over 20 years. In addition, there will be many works of art and design that reflect LAMA's 26-year history.
Other fine art highlights include a rare work on paper by Helena Maria Vieira da Silva, a large iconic painting by Frederick Hammersley, three important works by Mary Corse, three works by Herbert Bayer, an early sculptural works by Charles Arnoldi and Fred Eversley, and an important historical installation by Jennifer Bartlett.
Design include works by George Nakashima, Gertrud & Otto Natzler, Vladimir Kagan, and the Campana Brothers which lead a fine selection of furniture and craft.
The curated auction will be limited to 250 lots, each tying into the origins of LAMA and the Los Angeles-driven art market.
