BRAND MANUAL


Intro. Sansha shoes were originally produced in the small Chinese village of Sansha under Mr. Franck Raoul Duval in 1982. Since then it has taken the international market as one the biggest dance suppliers, working directly with the shoemakers and listening to the dancers’ requirements and using the products themselves from practice to the stage. This rebranding of Sansha had the goals in mind to take Sansha from its previous generic supplier feel to it’s true identity as a strong brand on the market, rivaling the likes of Bloch and Capezio. Sansha ties itself to beyond celebrity and high point dancers, and extends itself to encompass the dancer archetype - the highest essence of which any dancer would look up to in his or her own interpretation of what that would mean. Sansha is a brand that seeks elegance within the athleticism required of dancers. As Shanna Le Fleur put it: “It takes an athlete to dance, but an artist to be a dancer.”

PRINT MEDIA Campaign

Sansha’s “The art of dance” poster campaign is a reintroduction into the market as company of the arts and not merely a supplier. Like it’s competitors, Sansha has been around since the 80s and the campaign presents it’s solid feel of staying power and a reflection of the archaic dancer Sansha can bring forth through it’s products.

PRINT MEDIA Campaign

Suggested areas for show locally in Manhattan would be in the dance district such as the Lincold Center as shown here. Bus stops in the area are a secondary option. The campaign can also expand to other dance buildings such as dance companies and even more public venues such as malls.


PRINT MEDIA Business Cards

Sansha’s standard sized business cards reflect the graphic imagery used in the website; dark backgrounds and well lit figures. The way a spotlight on a stage would treat a dancer.

MERCHANDISE Tote bags

This artistic line of totebags comes in unique screenprints of multicolors making up the sansha logogram. A contrasting monochromatic use of the logotype is on the other side. The zipper used is also an application of the logogram. The unique prints concept was inspired by Sansha’s handstitched pointe shoes that are also unique with none like the other. The bags are now a similar artistic reflection and not just mass marketed generic
