Lalor Team Meets Olympic Gold Medalist! 13 Lalor Team Members recently attended a team engagement training event. The event focused on increasing team motivation, and inspiring team members to make our office the best it can be every day. The 3 days of training included some truly fantastic speakers, including Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast Kerri Strug, who is best remembered for completing the vault at the Atlanta Olympics, despite having injured her ankle. In her speech, Kerri encouraged us to “do what is required, and then some.� This is a sentiment that we took to heart, to remind us to always go the extra mile for our patients and not stop at doing only what is required. The team was fortunate enough to meet and have their photo taken with the retired gold medal gymnast after her speech.

A Word From Our Leader The fall continues to be a busy time at Lalor Family Dental! Over the last month, I joined several members of our team at a large team training event. This was a unique opportunity to hear talented and motivational speakers including Kerri Strug (pictured above) and Lt. Rorke Denver, as well as to bond over fun events like an Trace Adkins concert. I also want to extend a personal CONGRATULATIONS to all of our scholarship winners who are featured in this issue of our newsletter. I am very excited to have initiated programs for both our patients and our team members and look forward to continue providing support through these programs annually to individuals pursing higher education in a health care field. Lastly, I want to thank everyone who took the time to tell us why they were thankful for Lalor Family Dental as part of our November giveaway. It was truly touching to read all of your kind words. I hope the 50 winners of free turkeys enjoyed a good meal with family and/or friends. We want to continue helping you celebrate the season by giving away 50 Christmas Trees during the month of December. See inside for details!

An Autumn Of 50th Anniversary Giveaways This fall we gave a ton of gifts away to our patients for our 50th Anniversary year of giveaways. In October we gave away FIFTY $10 gift certificates to Jackson’s Pumpkin farm to patients who submitted us fall photos. In September we gave away TWENTY $25 gift certificates to Apple Hills Apple Farm and Restaurant to patients who completed the September Newsletter Word Search and submitted it to one of our offices. This November we are in the process of giving away FIFTY TURKEYS to patients who tell us why they are Thankful To Lalor Family Dental. Congrats to all of our winners so far this year, we have one more giveaway for our 50th Annicersary this December. See details on the next page!

Lalor has donated a decorated Christmas tree, complete with presents, to the Tioga County Historical Society for its annual O Tannenbaum Holiday Showcase Fund Raiser. The showcase opened at the Tioga County Historical Society Museum on November 8th. The trees will remain on display through December 13th. You can bid on our tree (or any of the others) anytime between now and 7pm on December 13th!

Drop Off Your Toys For Tots! The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters. Starting November 14th you will be able to donate toys to children in need by dropping them off at either our Binghamton or Vestal office. All of these toy donations will remain in the Southern Tier area and be given to children in our own community. Bring a toy to your appointment and help a great cause all while spreading some holiday cheer!

Announcing Our Scholarship Winners! In June we rolled out our all new Lalor Family Dental Scholarship Programs—one for patients and one for Lalor Team Members. This scholarship program will continue annually and give away $1000 to up to 10 patients, or children of patients per year. This year, our very first time offering the scholarships, we had 8 winners!
