A Letter from the Editor
I’ve always loved reading my schools’ magazines, flipping through the pages and delving into the stories of the alumni, faculty and students. It gives me a sense of pride and inspiration in being part of those communities. In turn, I’ve used that inspiration to drive how I work to create this magazine.
Serving as the magazine editor has always been a part of my role that I have loved, and I take great satisfaction in creating a quality publication that accurately reflects the institution it represents. This issue is reflective of several of the wonderful partnerships that LEC has formed over the years. Our students and faculty have certainly made their mark on the local and surrounding areas by participating in community projects, events geared at social change and various initiatives forging a strong bond between the LEC community and the greater community.

LEC remains a transformative place – one where we have a presence in the lives of high school students offering them opportunities such as the Painesville Promise. As students, the College offers occasions to enrich the overall college experience such as volunteering in the local community. Furthermore, we continue to be a resource for young alumni looking for jobs through our new handshake initiative. LEC supports both new and not so new alumni to make a difference in the world. LEC is certainly a Place of Purpose to the students we continue to serve.
I hope that you too find a sense of inspiration as you flip through these pages and remember the places and faces of LEC fondly.
