Chapters receive national recognition
Three of the college’s chapter organizations were recognized this year for their accomplishments.

The LC chapter of Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration received its 14th Star Chapter Award, presented each year to outstanding chapters.
Alpha Delta Gamma won big at this year’s 90th national convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The group won the Fil Fuentes Charitable Activities Award, the Inter-Chapter Communications Award and the Most Improved Chapter of the Year. Individual honors went to John Moore, Benjamin Aranda III Undergraduate Delegate Award, and DeMarcus Formbly, Joe Paul Clayton School Spirit Award and National President’s Award. He also was elected as the new national student representative.
Political Science Alpha Alpha Nu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha has been awarded the Pi Sigma Alpha Best Chapter Award for 2020-2021. It was one of only three that were awarded to chapters in schools with undergraduate enrollment below 5,000. Tanya B. Schwarz, Executive Director of Pi Sigma Alpha, wrote, “I was especially impressed by the chapter’s development of a virtual model UN simulation for high school students, as well as the chapter’s obvious commitment to excellence in undergraduate research.”
