STUDENTS EXPERIENCE FINAL FOUR
Sports Management students attend Final Four
LaGrange College’s Sports Management program sent 10 students to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four in April in New Orleans.
The college was one of four selected to assist with the tournament’s fan experience events, where students supervised over 100 volunteers and had the opportunity to get a behind-thescenes look at how the Final Four and National Championship events are put together.
They also had the chance to network with executives from On Location, the official partner of events including the Super Bowl, Rose Bowl and NCAA Final Four.
Jordan Coppola ’22 said the trip was an unforgettable opportunity that helped him develop skills he will take with him in his career.
“Being able to be part of one of the biggest sporting events in the country, if not the world, I was able to learn so many things that I will be able to use in my professional life.”
Madison Demkowski ’22 said working at the tournament was eye-opening.
“It showed us how much work and thought goes into the sports industry to make these big events possible,” Demkowski said. “It was great to learn a wide variety of jobs that are available in the sports industry.”
Earlier in the year, Sports Management students assisted with fan experience events for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United.
