PROFESSOR DULIN-MALLORY RETIRES Dr. Nina Dulin-Mallory M’81, Professor of English, retired in December after 37 years of service to LaGrange College. She came to the college in 1984 as a part-time instructor of English and after three years, began working as a full-time instructor.
During her time at the college, she received the Vulcan Materials Teacher of the Year Award in 2012 and the United Methodist Church Excellence in Teaching Award in 2000.
Dr. Dulin-Mallory played an instrumental role in designing the college’s Honor Code and Council, said Dr. Greg McClanahan, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. In addition, she served as president for the board of the International Center for Academic Integrity.
Dr. Dulin-Mallory said her students fueled her passion for teaching.
“She touched the lives of

hundreds and hundreds of students—and has left her mark here in many other ways,” he said.
“I admired them immeasurably and always treasured finding common ground with them,” she said. “I never woke up to a day when I didn’t want to teach.” She received a B.A. in English and French from Clemson University, an M.Ed. in Secondary English from LaGrange College and a Ph.D. in English from Auburn University.
