Hailing from Moradabad, U.P., Dr. Kappil Kishor is a symbiosis of Fashion. He has put more than twenty years in this industry and helped it grow. He has been well-received by its brethren, fashion lovers, stakeholders, institutions, governments and last but not the least, 'The President Award’ by Dr. Shankardayal Sharma former President of India. After completing his schooling from Maharaja Agrasen Intercollege, Moradabad, U.P., He did his graduation in Hindi Literature and Human Psychology from Hindu College, Moradabad which helped him to understand his students and market better. He came to Delhi to pursue his dreams……so he joined the professional program in Fashion Technology from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. He did his post-graduation in Fashion Technology from Punjab technical university, Jalandhar and a doctorate in Fashion Technology from Tamil International University USA. Associated with reputed names like National Institute Fashion Technology (NIFT, Min. of Textiles Govt. of India), Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI, Min. of Trade & Commerce Govt. of India), JD Institute of Fashion Technology Jankidevi Vocational Center ,International College of Fashion, YMCA – New Delhi and ‘International Polytechnic for Women (IPW)as a professor for past twenty years, his contributions are now salient features of progress for these organizations. His students are placed in all corners of the globe. Dr. Kappil has been through all this; especially at the beginning of his career. In-order to compensate, somewhere in some way, he started, Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education for students of Fashion & Textile. This educational trust aims to bridge-the-gap between professionals and the deserving candidates who are actually keen to learn. DsyNBlooM is the newest venture of Vaatsaalyaa! It is a contest, one-of-a-kind for such students in India, where they get this opportunity to showcase their collection in Fashion Weeks! Recently, he was invited as Vaatsaalyaa (Chairperson) to attend the opening ceremony of 'Miss India Worldwide' held at Freeport, Mer Rouge in Mauritius.

LF. Tell us about your journey so far in the industry? MM. As everyone knows that I’ve been a child artist, I’ve been working since I was 13 and did few shows back then but it was somewhere affecting my studies so I went back to my hometown and completed my schooling. Then I went to Delhi for my graduation. After all this I came back to Mumbai and did Fear Files, Love On The Run, Splitsvilla, Ishqbaaz and did a lead show for Star which is a finite series and yet to come on air. Now I am doing a show for Colors. LF. According to you which actor/actress or anyone from the industry is the most fashionable and inspiring, with whom you would want to work in future? MM. Okay so I love few actresses like Kareena, Priyanka and Sonam. I can relate myself to all these three beautiful ladies. I love Kareena in K3G and Jab We Met and I think I am exactly like Poo and Geet. Priyanka I love because she’s an amazing actress and the most talented one plus she’s from my hometown that’s why she inspires me. Sonam, because I think she’s the most stylish actress, I just love what she wear, the way she carries herself, it’s just amazing! In actors I love Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal, they are very talented and I would love to work with them. LF. How do you manage to maintain your gorgeous body? MM. Oh I don’t do anything infact I am a big foodie! I am very lazy when it comes to working out. LF. What other projects are you currently working or looking forward too? MM. I am doing 2 shows right now, one for Star Plus as a lead and one on Colors. Can’t name them as of now. LF. If not a model and actress, which career would you choose and why? MM. I always wanted to become an IAS officer. Infact, after 2 years I am going to give it a try for sure. LF. If you were given a chance to remake a movie then which one? MM. Oh I would love to do K3G 2 and play Poo’s character. LF. What is your fashion mantra? MM. My fashion mantra is just be yourself, wear whatever you are comfortable with and carry yourself like a princess. And yes! Smile! That’s the most beautiful thing. LF. Lastly, any fitness tips that you will like to share with our readers? MM. There’s no fitness tip because I am not into it. I would just say that enjoy your life. It’s amazing!

How important is fitness to you? Fitness is very important to me it's like the way humans canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t do without air and water I can't do without workout my day is not complete... But It can be of any form.. Gym, Zumba, swimming, dancing or kickboxing.

How do you design your program or prepare yourself for a character, or performance? My background is theatre so I believe in preparing in realistic level.. I did a show where I was playing a rural Marathi girl I decided to interact with locals to be able to get the dialect ...or when I go for any concert or specially wedding event I do a research on the bride n groom so that I can make them part of show How important is diet and how does your diet look like in general? I believe in staying strong n fit so I don't do any sort of crash diet like keto and all... I feel one should eat healthy n in proper proportions n intervals n include more protein n maintain in a way that you can follow it throughout your life... Fitness mantra that you would like to give to your fans. More than being skinny n slim it's very important to be physically strong from inside out so I always recommend people to follow a balance diet n keep exercising... Every body type is different so what suits me may not suit you so better follow in general a healthy routine rather than following the race.
