FIRE LIFE SAFETY PLAN CHECK UNIT Notice​: The Fire Development Services plan check counter is closed to the public entirely effective Monday, March 23, 2020. There are separate drop off and pick up boxes for each Development Services department at the ground floor of our downtown office, including for LAFD, where any hard copy documents may be left and retrieved. If you leave anything hard copy in the LAFD drop off box at 201 N. Figueroa St., 1st Floor in lieu of submitting them as a PDF file, there will be a delay before they are processed due to quarantine procedures. Please also note the LAFD counters in West L.A. and Van Nuys are both closed until further notice.

EFFECTIVE MONDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2020: To Submit Plans to LAFD Step 1: ​Visit ​https://inspect.lafd.org/​ and register for and log in to your customer account using the tool on the right side of the screen. ​You will receive a system-generated email soliciting you to confirm your account and will need to complete this step first.​ You will receive additional system-generated emails at key steps along this process and will have access to your current project status at all times via your customer dashboard. Step 2: ​When you log in to your customer dashboard, the bulk of the screen will be blank, but you will observe two buttons on the right side of the screen: Step 2.1:​ To import into your customer dashboard an existing project already in our system, select this button and provide your Transaction ID and street name in the same manner as you would use to submit an inspection request:
