Unicorn performs well at Tritech
Valeriia Avdysh, a pupil from Unicorn Preparatory School, was the Social Sciences category winner during the regional round of the Westfalia Tritech competition.
Unicorn Preparatory School’s golden-girl, Anke Vaughan, continued her streak of excellence in all fields by winning the Environmental Studies category at the regional round of the Westfalia Tritech competition.
Of the 24 pupils from the school who participated in the Regional Tritech Round, four were announced as category winners, namely: Bryce Reed (Life Sciences), Valeriia Avdysh (Social Sciences), Paul Dando (Engineering and Design) and Anke Vaughan (Environmental Studies). Seen here is Paul Dando, a gr 7-pupil from Unicorn Preparatory School, who won the Engineering and Design Category for his age.
Toptien toer lekker Die toptienpresteerders van gr 8 tot gr 11 van die Hoërskool Ben Vorster het onlangs ‘n heerlike vakansie aan die Suidkus deurgebring. Hulle is deur mnr Etienne Burger en mev Isolde Fasondini vergesel. Onder doen van die meisies akrobatiese oefeninge op die strand, terwyl nog ‘n groep leerlinge deur die ietwat ongewone standbeeld vir die fotograaf loer (links).
During the Regional Tritech Round held at the end of last month at Ben Vorster High School, Unicorn Preparatory School sent 24 pupils to take part. The group performed well and 21 pupils will progress to the national round of the Tritech competition on 21-22 September. Nina Rudman, Ntwanano Honwana and Mologadi Mokgaphane did Unicorn proud and received bronze certificates, but it was unfortunately not enough to progress to the next round. Vossies neem deel by Hip2B² A group of pupils from Unicorn were awarded silver certificates after the regional round of the Westfalia Tritech competition. In front: Ross McAdam. ‘n Groep van sestien leerlinge van die Hoërskool Ben Vorster het aan die Hip2B2 deelgeneem. Verskeie opdragte wat hul wetenskap-, wiskunde- en tegnologie-vaardighede getoets het is aan hulle gegee, wat hulle in ’n sekere tyd moes voltooi. Die gr 11-span bestaande uit Ernst Buys, Edmund de Beer, Christo van Zyl en Rikus Visser het tweede geëindig. Van die leerlinge wat deelgeneem het is, voor: Christie-Ann Dreyer, Liza Botha en Nareanka Lombaard. Agter: Christo van Zyl, Rikus Visser, Ernst Buys en Edmund de Beer. Afwesig: Lebo Malatji.
Hoërskool Merensky Ithinkkompetisie
