During the Mafarana Circuit Excellence Awards, Dr Annecke Primary School in Letsitelereceived trophies and certificates for their outstanding ANA results. Seen here are the school’s headmaster, Mr Gerhard Venter (Best Foundation Phase overall performance), Ms A Haar (Best results in Gr 6 Maths, Ms T Moore (Best results in Gr 6), Ms D Zaayman (Best Foundation phase average) and Mr E Bouwer (Best intermediate phase overall performance).

Five lucky mothers win RIGHT: Five lucky customers of the TzaneenLifestyle Centre each won a hamper in celebration of Mother’s Day. The shopping centre ran a competition during the weekend of Mother’s Day and five winners were drawn on Tuesday. Photo: Amelia de Ridder REGS: Die Toekie Vorster Meisieskoshuis van die Hoërskool Ben Vorster het ‘n saal vol dames ingelig oor en vermaak met voetegeite. Daar was ‘n skoenparade en mediese raad oor voetversorging en hoe om voete te pamperlang. Tzaneen Health Shoes het gepraat oor hul verskeidenheid skoene, Earth Spa het gewys hoe voete bederf word met ‘n pedikuur en ‘n voetspesialis het gepraat oor watter skoene voete beskadig. Hier is twee leerlinge van die skool, Soné Potgieter en Saskia Cilliers, wat as Hush Puppy-skoenmodelle opgetree het. Hulle het elkeen ‘n paar Hush Puppy-skoene vir hul moeite ontvang. Foto: Retha Nel Johann Potgieter van Laparisa by Letsitele, seun van Fanus en Bessie Potgieter, en Este Potgieter van Tzaneen, dogter van Theuns en Louise Jansen Van Rensburg, is in die huwelik bevestig. Hulle gaan by Laparisa woon.
BELOW: Two ladies from the Earth Spa at Tzaneen Country Lodge attended the Toekie Vorster girls hostel’s ‘Voetefees vir Vriendinne’ Tea. They gave a short talk on how to indulge yourself with a nice pedicure and one lucky lady was selected to receive a pedicure while the rest of the speakers addressed the crowd. Mss Melinda Niehaus and Laura Smith posed for our camera during the tea break.
Donation The Tzaneen Care Group recently received a greatly appreciated donation from the Tzaneen Rotary Club in the form of wheelchairs, walkers and R 1 000 cash. Gathered with two of the donated items is Mr Green van Rensburg (Tzaneen Rotary Club President), Mss Juanine Jackson and Yasmeen Moosa (Tzaneen Care Group) and Mr Cornel van Niekerk (Rotarian).
