All 9 & Dines are great fun and a terrific way to get to know other members, and this one will be no exception, so get your reservations in early. For dinner-only guests, please contact Inger, info above. There is a 72-hour cancellation policy for this event.

Overcoming Challenges on the Serve
In a recent tournament, I faced the common challenge of serving into the net. As I worked on resolving this issue, I found that a simple adjustment made a significant impact on my performance. By keeping my head up throughout the serve, I not only improved my rhythm but also reduced the likelihood of serving into the net. This small tweak helped me regain confidence and accuracy in my serves. Remember, trying to find your toolkit to problem-solve is key to making successful adjustments when playing.

Be a Force of EMPOWERMENT
Happy May, friends! I wanted to talk to you all this month about the benefit and impact empowerment can have in our lives. Not just self-empowerment but also being a force of empowerment for others. Let’s start by defining empowerment. It is the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights. True empowerment goes beyond individual achievements. It involves uplifting others and creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
Empowering others can take many forms, from offering encouragement and support to providing opportunities for growth and development. When we empower others, we contribute to a culture of collaboration, respect, and mutual success. I have always loved the quote, “A rising tide raises all ships,” I think this concept speaks so true to empowerment.
One of the most powerful ways to empower others is through mentorship and leadership. By sharing our knowledge, skills, and experiences, we can guide others on their journey of selfdiscovery and growth. Mentoring allows us to pass on valuable lessons, inspire confidence, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose.
Moreover, empowering others fosters a sense of interconnectedness and collective achievement. When individuals feel empowered, they are more likely to contribute positively to their communities, whether through volunteering, advocacy, or innovative solutions to social challenges. This collaborative effort creates a ripple effect of positive change, leading to stronger, more resilient societies.
In essence, self-empowerment and empowering others are intertwined forces that drive personal and collective growth. By embracing our own potential and lifting others along the way, we create a brighter future for ourselves and contribute to a world where everyone can thrive. So, this month, let’s make a little extra effort to build up those around us and empower them to be their best selves.
With love, Jarratt Rouse
