LOS ALAMOS’ SIGNATURE EVENT Los Alamos, New Mexico is place of world changing creative ideas and science. Los Alamos ScienceFest celebrates the history and science of our town through engaging activites and events for people of all ages. This event is well attended and draws visitors from across the state and beyond. Over the course of 4 days ScienceFest serves up experiences of all kinds including historical tours, educational and artistic lectures, exhibitions, hikes, competitions, shows at the local theater and in the park, an evening at Fuller Lodge with champagne reception, an interactive science festival complete with a beer garden and concert series, and so much more! We want you to be a part of the action!
OUR MISSION
AUDIENCE
We aim to celebrate the scientific heritage and excellence of our community by showcasing cultural activites for people of all ages. We accomplish this through: • Allowing people to connect with real scientists and engineers and to draw connections to the role of science in their daily lives • Celebrating curiosity and raising awareness of the importance of STEM education, and encouraging youth interest in STEM with possible future careers in these fields • Connecting our visitors with avenues to experience new science and technology as an opportunity for enrichment
ScienceFest is attended by approximately 11,000 science, technology, and history minded iindividuals and their families.
