Some of our environmental initiatives include: • Construction of a new eco-friendly, LEED certified world headquarters which will utilize sustainable building practices while preserving a beautiful oak savanna ecosystem. • Our manufacturing facility in Dayton, Tennessee received Green Star Partnership Certification from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for reducing electricity usage by nineteen percent, natural gas usage by fifty-two percent, water consumption by seven million gallons and the amount of waste sent to the landfill by more than fifty percent. • Over 100 corporately owned La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries® stores are minimizing their carbon footprint by reducing energy usage and utilizing greener construction materials, eco-friendly light bulbs, paint and flooring. The Severn, Maryland store has gone a step further by establishing a power purchase agreement for a roof top solar energy system that generates 75% of its energy needs.
