The site has two trails, each about 2.2km long and will take 1 hour or more to complete:

Discovery Trail that helps you to find out about Wistlandpound's exciting history and wildlife. The Discovery Trail is mainly level and designed to allow easy access for all users, but two short sections are steeper than the rest and will require moderate effort – take a look at the map to see where they are.

No swimming in the reservoir Keep dogs under strict control and out of the water Pick up after your dog Guard against all risks of fire Take all your litter home Protect and respect wildlife, plants and trees Respect other users of the site (particularly disabled visitors) Boating by licence only Take only memories away

Warnings: Challenge Trail with activity points that will put your mind and body to the test! The Challenge Trail has a more uneven surface and includes a number of steep sections.

Visitors should remember that all areas of the countryside contain hazards so we ask you to take suitable and sufficient precautions to avoid injury or harm.

Both Trails have plenty of rest stops and sensible footwear should be worn.

Visitors should keep to the trail and be aware that the site has deep ditches, wet boggy areas and fallen trees.
