Á lvaro Siza is a Portuguese architect and designer whose structures, ranging from swimming pools to public housing developments, are characterized by a quiet clarity of form and function, a sensitive integration into their environment, and a purposeful engagement with both cultural and architectural traditions. He was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1992.

Founded by Grégoire Jeanmonod, Elric Petit and Augustin Scott de Martinville, Big-Game develops furniture, lighting and objects for companies such as Karimoku, Moustache or Galerie Kreo. The trio, who likes the terms “descriptive geometry” and “economy of means” when talking about their work, has been awarded the Swiss Federal Design Award in 2006 and 2010.
