BALI THE RIGHT WAY Gday again folks and welcome to A.F.L Grand final edition of the Kuta Weekly. A great result with the lads at Hawthorn really only just getting through on the day against Port. I'd say that given about 3 minutes, Port might have tipped them, but it wasn't to be and we will watch the Swans battle with the Hawks this Saturday. There are a heap of places to watch the big game in and around Kuta on the day, but there are only a real few that put a lot of time and effort aliasj@kutaweekly.com into making the day a good one for us punters. If I had to suggest a few places I'd say that Moo Moos on Melasti Street is a good start. They have enough seating for about 300 heads and have a huge projector screen along with 10 plasma teles and arguably one of the best sound systems in a restaurant that I have ever come across. They are what I call the home of N.R.L in Bali but still put on a great show for the travelling punters that want to watch a good game of footy. They have Bali Hai beer going out at 10,000 Rupiah during the happy hour and as usual will have the full steakhouse menu ready to roll should you want a feed. Cheers for the support Mr Richard at Moo Moos. You can see their advert in the centre of the paper. Moving along and staying in Legian street there is Crusoe's Bar and Restaurant which is a rather laid back way to enjoy the game. Mr Ron and the crew will have the usual happy hour prices and have just installed all new air cons so the place is really comfortable to sit and enjoy a good game of footy. They are a 24hrs operation so there is plenty of stuff happening all the time. Super cold beers and great service so a good place to perch up and watch the game. Thanks for the support over the years. You can see their advert of pages 7 & 23 and they also have a small part on the front page. Not to keep the best till last but the powers that be at the Kuta Town Houses have tried their best to push the envelope over the years with different specials and things and for the 2014 Grand Final they have made no exception to the rule. They have had the biggest LED Module display screen ever to be installed in a hotel in south East Asia setup on the roof at their function centre. They are selling tickets at a milly each which includes all you can drink (all the real stuff) and all you can eat Brazilian Aussie BBQ along with lots of door prizes and giveaways, so get in quick folks before they are sold out. You will never get anything even remotely close to the experience and once you see the size of this Mutha of a screen (same as the one on Bemo Corner) you will know it's going to be a good day. Thanks again to the Kuta Town Houses for their never ending support and I look forward to working with the brand for many years to come.

Is the Under Over? Plans for Pedestrian Underpass at Ngurah Rai Statue Park Now in Doubt Radar Bali reports that plans to build a pedestrian underpass at the Ngurah Rai Statue at the entrance to Bali's airport are now in doubt. The Rp. 3.7 billion (US$322,000) project has yet to obtain approval from the Ministry of Public works. Ida Bagus Surya Suamba of the Badung Regency said on September 18, 2014: "We are still awaiting approval from the Central Government. We hope to obtain permission because the underpass will permit use of a public park area." Suamba explained that while the Ngurah Rai Statue and surrounding park are located wholly within the regency of Badung, the actual asset is owned and controlled by the Ministry of Public Works. He added that if the needed permission from Jakarta is not received in October the project can not be completed in the current fiscal year and would therefore have to be abandoned. The Statue and the surrounding park area are deemed suitable for public recreation but are made inaccessible to the public by four lanes of heavy traffic that continually circle the area. The regency's plan to build a pedestrian underpass is intended to provide a new green park area to the public.

Happy Landings Galore Operator of Bali's New Airport Claims it to be the Most Beautiful in the World Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport has ambitions to become not only Indonesia's most beautiful airport, but arguably among the most beautiful in the world with international standard facilities and a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. As reported by Beritabali.com, Tommy Soetomo, the CEO of PT Angkasa Pura I – the company that manages the airport, the concept employed in designing the revamped Bali airport unique among all other airports in Indonesia. “The standards of service and arrangement of systems have made the Ngurah Rai Airport have unique advantages. You can see for yourself, the arrival terminal is sufficiently wide reaching 65,000 square meters. The passengers are very comfortable,” proclaimed Soetomo on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Soetomo described the “lastminute” shopping zone featuring clean outlets, attractive merchandising and items produced in Bali that impart an attractive local nuance. “From the standpoint of concept (Bali's airport) is different from the 13 other airports managed by Angkasa Pura. Passengers can have direct views of the movement of aircraft. Passengers can also view the beauty of the seashore and the setting sun. Where else can you see an

airport like this?” Soetomo asks. The CEO of the State-owned airport management company pointed out that the only other airport in the world where passengers can see the seashore is in the Maldives. He went on to describe how, with the completion of Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport has given the Island a facility capable of handling 25 million passengers each year. Adding: “At this time, Bali's airport is handling 15 million passengers, a total fare below its ultimate capacity.” Domestic Terminal Begins Operation On Monday, September 17, 2014, after undergoing more than a year of renovation, the domestic terminal at Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport commenced operations. “The domestic terminal is uniquely decorated, decorated with kites connected with the Bali Kite Festival held each year at Padang Galak in Sanur, Bali,” said Soetomo. The first passengers using the new domestic terminal on the morning of September 17th were greeted showers of Jepun flowers, gifts of

bracelets. “The very first passenger passing through the domestic terminal was booked on GA 241 flying to Yogyakarta at 6:40 a.m.” said Soetomo. Passengers using the domestic terminal on its first day of operation were invited to become a part of history and sign a special wall in the domestic terminal designated to record their participation. “Not only that, the departure terminal has prepared a range of entertainments including musical show, a photo booth, kids face painting and even dart games. Passengers taking part in the dart games have the chance to win a cup of coffee and shopping vouchers that can be used on the same day in the commercial area of the domestic terminal,” said Angkasa Pura's CEO. 400% larger than the former domestic terminal, the new domestic facility is equipped with 62 check-in counters, 4 transfer and transit counters, 19 ticketing counters. 8 boarding gates equipped with boarding bridges, 7 arrival gates and 5 conveyer belts. Capable of handling 9.4 million passengers over the course of a year, the domestic terminal is supported with a commonuse check-in system to increase the efficiency of baggage handling for departing flights.

Smelly passengers have soared up to be the number two hate of air travelers behind those who recline their seat. According to the annual AirlineRatings.com survey of air travelers almost 35 percent of the more than 1550 respondents put reclining of the seat as their number one nightmare passenger. However, with 25.5 per cent naming smelly passengers as the most despised it raises the question, have hygiene standards slipped According to Australian Business Traveler's founder David Flynn “it doesn't surprise me that 'passenger pong' is a hate of travelers.” “A lot of people tell me eye rolling, nose holding tales of whiffy seatmates,” said Mr Flynn. “After all, you've got several hundred people crammed together in this tin can and it's especially tight quarters in economy with plenty of recalculated air.” Mr Flynn adds that you've got passengers who've been rushing to

the airport or dashing between flights to make a connection, and people who take their shoes and socks off during the flight. “Stir in some hot humid sticky summer weather, or pretty much any day in an equatorial city like Singapore, and it's a perfect storm of bad smells.” This year two passengers made global headlines because of their odour. In February an Air Canada flight from Charlottetown, on Prince Edward Island, was preparing for the two hour flight to Montreal when passengers on the plane complained about the odour coming from one of their fellow passengers. The passenger was taken off the plane.

And last month a passenger was asked by cabin crew to leave an American Airlines flight in Paris bound for Dallas because of his strong smell. In this case the passenger blamed a new fragrance he was trying in duty free! And three US domestic flights have been diverted in the past month over arguments related to knee defenders, which prevent seats reclining. In each case an air rage incident developed after arguments over the use of the knee defender. In the US authorities have not banned knee defenders but have left it up to airlines to regulate. However in Australia, both Qantas and Virgin Australia have banned knee defenders. In the AirlineRatings.com survey the parent who let their children run riot was third with 20 per cent of respondents saying it was their biggest nightmare, while the passenger who hogs the arm rest was fourth with 13.5 per cent and the incessant talker a small 5.5 per cent.

Cleared for More Landing? Deputy-Governor of Bali Calls for Extra Runway at Island's Airport Bali's newly renovated airport continues to be served by a single runway of 3,00 meters. Too short to handle a number of long-haul aircraft fully-loaded with both passengers and fuel, the Ngurah Rai International Airport's overriding limitation on passenger handling capacity is its dependent a single and relatively short runway. M o r e o v e r, a n a i r c r a f t accident involving Bali's runway 09/27 has the potential of closing airport operations of hours or, in the worst case, weeks. A s r e p o r t e d b y Beritadewata.com, Bali's deputygovernor I Ketut Sudikerta

recently highlighted this situation, recommending that the current runway be widened to accommodate two runways. “A lengthening and widening of the runway is very needed in order to accommodate 2 runways to allow the airport to grow and handle more passengers,” said Sudikerta on a visit to Bali's air

g a t e w a y o n September 17, 2014. When asked by reported if the provincial government of Bali would invest in widening the runway, Sudikerta said all would have to “wait and see.” The CEO of Angkasa Pura I, Tommy Soetomo, said that the carrying capacity of the airport must also be seen from the perspective of taxis, terminals and parking facilities. In these regards, Soetomo said the Bali airport was still sufficient to meet current and future demand. The airport is expected to handle 15 million domestic and international passengers in 2014, a number well under the stated capacity of 25 million. www.balidiscovery.com

Plenty of Heat fans have been wondering why the allrounder's brutal power hitting hasn't been utilised more often in a pinch-hitting capacity. On one occasion last Big Bash season, Heat coach Stuart Law blamed himself for not sending Cutting in earlier as he batted at No.8 in a disappointing loss to the Sydney Sixers. Queenslander Cutting, pictured with a Heat-branded monster truck as he signed a three-year Heat deal, believes he is on the cusp of being a candidate for Australia's World Cup squad next year. And the tall 27-year-old fast bowler, recently returned from Australia's one-day tour to Zimbabwe, hopes his powerful batting can be an extra trump card. “I enjoy the challenge of getting out there and trying to hit a

few over the ropes,'' Cutting said. “There is a time and a place (for a pinch-hitter). Hopefully the Heat top six fire and then I will just have to go in and slog for the last five overs which suits me fine.'' Law said he was delighted to add Cutting's batting and bowling

again. “Cuttsy gives us a lot of strikepower and options for our BBL plans, so he was always going to be a key signing for us,'' Law said. “His batting speaks for itself in the limited overs arena – he's one of the longest hitters I have seen and he showed on a number of occasions last year what sort of damage he can do to the opposition.” “But I'm really happy with how his bowling is going. He's been working on a few things with Ryan Harris in the offseason and I've no doubt his recent experience with the Aussies will help him when it comes time to get into the BBL side of things.'' Cook to captain England at World Cup ALASTAIR Cook will be England's captain at next year's Cricket World Cup, according to UK media reports. After months of speculation, England's selectors are expected to announce on Tuesday that Cook will retain the job as oneday skipper until at least the end of next year's showpiece tournament in Australia and New Zealand, which wraps up at the end of March. Cook's position as captain, and indeed in the country's ODI team, came under a huge amount of scrutiny during the recent home one-day series against India, which was won 3-1 by the

tourists. Former teammates Graeme Swann and Michael Vaughan were just some of the ex-players that called on Cook to be stood down as captain, but the 29-year-old remained steadfast in his belief that he was the best man to lead the country in both Test and one-day cricket. That approach appears to

have been vindicated, with several British newspapers reporting Cook will be named skipper of a one-day squad to tour Sri Lanka in November a n d D e c e m b e r, essentially rubberstamping him as captain for the World Cup as well. The left-hander's place as Test skipper was also called into question as he struggled with the bat in the Tests against India, before recovering late in the summer to finish with a series average of 49.66. However, his continued inability to turn decent starts into hundreds meant he failed to silence all of his critics.

Daniel Ricciardo, Red Bull accused of using coded messages at F1's Singapore Grand Prix THE McLaren team has hinted that rivals Red Bull used coded messages to assist Daniel Ricciardo's drive to a podium finish in Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix. McLaren's racing director Eric Boullier said he and his McLaren colleagues had listened keenly to other teams' radio messages during the race. Asked how different it was to work on the pit wall following the clampdown on communications, he said: “Nothing, but it makes us more busy listening to the others to see they are not doing anything like Red Bull did twice on Ricciardo. “I think it was coded, yes. It is up to the FIA to investigate, so it is not for me to say anything. “But it was a strange message. Once would have been OK, but twice or three times is a bit strange.”

Red Bull team chief Christian Horner said his team had clarified with F1 race director Charlie Whiting what messages it could use with Ricciardo. “Obviously we spoke to Charlie and told him Daniel had some reliability issues,” he said. “That was why he was told to stay off the kerbs because that was causing damage to the battery. I think that was sensible and it's about trying to find a balance with this radio ban.” Earlier this month, F1 teams and drivers had been ordered to severely cut back on radio

conversations that help with car or driver performance during races. The ruling was handed down by Formula One's governing body the FIA. From now on conversations from the pit telling a driver where he is losing time on the circuit will be illegal. The change is being implemented through a strict enforcement of Article 20.1 of F1's sporting regulations, which states: “The driver must drive the car alone and unaided.” The new ruling tells teams: “In order to ensure that the requirements of Article 20.1 of the F1 sporting regulations are respected at all times FIA intends to rigorously enforce this regulation with immediate effect. “Therefore, no radio conversation from pit to driver may include any information that is related to the performance of the car or driver.”

Aaron Cruden misses New Zealand flight after drinking session F LY H A L F A a r o n Cruden was dropped from the All Blacks squad for the last two rounds of the Rugby Championship after missing the team's flight to Argentina because of a latenight drinking session. The All Blacks were due to fly to Argentina on Saturday but were delayed by a day when their flight was cancelled. C r u d e n w a s photographed on Saturday night drinking with teammates at an Auckland pub called the Zookeeper's Son. “We didn't have a curfew,” All Blacks coach Steve Hansen said. “He was out drinking and he didn't get (to the airport) in time. “It's obviously disappointing and out of character. He's extremely disappointed in himself. He understands there has to be a

consequence for his actions.” The All Blacks, who are currently unbeaten in the Rugby Championship, are due to play Argentina next Saturday and South Africa in Johannesburg a week later as they close in on a third straight title. A remorseful Cruden said he would accept any further punishment for his flight noshow but has shed no light on the reason for his drunken gaffe. Cruden confirmed he had drunk too much, but didn't outline what happened after he and several teammates

Auckland pub. “I made a poor decision regarding the limits of my alcohol intake,” Cruden said. “I am deeply embarrassed by this lack of judgment and have never been more disappointed in myself. I have not only let myself down, but most importantly, I have let my team down. “I carry the burden of shame and disappointment and I am deeply apologetic to my team, to my family, and also the New Zealand public.” Cruden, 25, is likely to face a formal New Zealand Rugby hearing once all details of the evening have been ascertained. NZR chief executive Steve Tew says he spoke to Cruden on Sunday but didn't yet know how the circumstances about how he had missed the 10.30am flight.

not doing our job right, dammit. Also, jiggling is awesome. No need to feel self-conscious about it. To that point though, definitely grab your breasts and make a hand bra if (1) it hurts you or (2) you just want to play with them, because that's awesome, too. 7. That you have a butthole. Everyone has a butthole. Even starfish have buttholes and they don't have anything. Stop being so weird about it. 8. Whatever weird sex face you think you're making. We probably think it's hot. Also, it's tough to pay attention because we're too busy making weird sex faces. 9. Whether or not your hair is up. Believe it or not, when we're busy thinking, "Oh boy, I'm

having sex," we don't have time to think about dumb things like whether or not you washed your hair. There's no need to whip out 19 bobby pins and start styling your hair while you ride us. Just let it fall in front of your face and hit us in the eye. We don't care. We're having sex. 10. How long it takes you to come. As long as our legs aren't cramping up after 30 minutes of pumping away, don't worry about how long it takes you to get there. The only thing that makes us feel more manly than making a woman c o m e i s hammering swords shirtless in our iron forge and most of us don't have those anyway so it's pretty much just this. 11. Giving us pointers. I f something doesn't feel right, or you need us to speed up or slow down, say something. No guy is going to complain about a little constructive criticism. Just don't bark orders. There's a difference between moaning, "Fuck me slower," and saying, "To the left, you idiot." 12. If you don't always feel like giving us a blowjay. Oral sex is great, but sometimes you want to skip the mozzarella sticks and go straight to the burger (if it wasn't clear in my greasy diner food metaphor, the burger is the sex and the sticks are the foreplay. Foreplay is like mozzarella sticks. The more you think about it, the more apt it is). It's OK to say no a blow job sometimes. We get it.

and wet. Air escapes violently. 5. If you're too loud or not loud enough. As long as you're not grabbing us by the head and screaming into our ear loud enough to burst our eardrums, it's all good. Unless we have neighbors. And if you're the kind of woman who gets really quiet right before they orgasm, that's OK too. No guy needs you to repeat, "I'm having a great time at sex" over and over until they finish. 6. Your heaving bosom. You're going to bounce everywhere during sex or we're

1. Whether or not your vagina smells like a field of fresh lilies. If your vagina literally smells like a field full of flowers, that might be a cause for concern. But a vagina is supposed to smell like a vagina. Plus, it's not like Yankee Candle is ever going to put out a "Balls" scent, so we're pretty much even. Most guys either actively like the way you smell down there or are pretty neutral on the whole thing. 2. Whether or not you're hairless like a sex dolphin. Unless you suffer from hypertrichosis, skipping out on shaving for a few days isn't going to be a deal-breaker. Considering most guys would put their lives on the line for the opportunity to bang, getting a pube in our mouth is a pretty tame risk to take. Also "sex dolphins" aren't actually a thing. Don't Google that. 3. How wet (or not wet) you are. There's no such thing as too wet. There also is such a thing as lube. Neither of these things are issues. 4. Any sounds your vagina may make during intercourse. Weird sex noises are totally normal and the only way they're horrible is when you stop mid-coitus to be like, "Oh, man. That was gross." No, it wasn't. What's gross is having sex one moment and then not having sex the next just because apparently you never shoved your hand in a tube of Gak growing up. This is what happens when you shove something into something tight

The woman with three breasts A WOMAN has spent $20,000 on surgery to get a third breast and her dream is to become a celebrity. The Florida massage therapist, who calls herself Jasmine Tridevil, said she had the surgery a few months ago. “It was really hard finding someone that would do it, too, because they're breaking the code of ethics,” Tridevil said. “I called like 50 or 60 doctors, nobody wanted to do it.” Last month she posted a YouTube video of herself in a bikini while Radiohead's Creep plays in the background. Tridevil said her extra breast felt like her other breasts, “the only difference is the nipple”, which she had to get tattooed on.

The 21-year-old saved up for two years so she could have the surgery and is also paying for a film crew to follow her around. “My whole dream is to get this show on MTV,” she said. “I'm dumping every penny I have into this. If this doesn't work, I'm through.” Tridevil said that while she

wanted fame and fortune, this was not why she had the surgery. “I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men. Because I don't want to date anymore,” she said. She has been filmed telling her parents about the third boob and they were not happy. “My mum ran out the door. She won't talk to me. She won't let my sister talk to me. My dad ... he really isn't happy ... he is kind of ashamed of me but he accepted it,” she said. While some have criticized Tridevil for her chasing fame, others have described her as “beautiful” and commented that she reminds them of the girl in the sci fi film Total Recall.

Goldfish recovering after tumour removal A goldfish in Australia is recovering from surgery after a life-threatening tumour was removed from its brain in a "high-risk" operation. George, whose owner lives in Melbourne, was put under general anesthetic for the $200 (£125) procedure. Dr Tristan Rich, who carried out the operation, told Melbourne's 3AW radio station that the fish was now "up and about and swimming around". Vets say the 10-year-old fish is now expected to live for another 20 years. "George had a quite large tumour on the top of his head that was growing slowly, and it was beginning to affect his quality of life," Dr Rich from the Lort Smith Animal Hospital said. George's owner was given the choice between an operation or having the fish put to sleep. "She was dedicated enough to give it a go," he said. He added that the fish was kept alive by pumping oxygenated pond water through its gills. Dr Rich described the 45minute operation as "fiddly". Vets say the operation went swimmingly, and that George can be discharged soon.

Mom was Dad and Dad Was Mom Bianca and Nick B o w s e r , a transgender couple who live in Kentucky, still both have their original s e x o r g a n s because they cannot afford reconstructive surgery. When their children grow up, Bianca and Nick will explain to them that mom actually used to be their dad, and dad was originally their mom, who gave birth to them. Bianca, 32, was born as a boy named Jason and Nick, 27, as a girl named Nicole. They insist their kids, 3-yearold Kai and 1-year-old Pax, will be fine because their upbringing will be loving, supportive, secure and perfectly normal.

“I don't worry about how they will react. We will not treat it as a 'bad' thing. And young kids are accepting and non-judgmental,” Bianca said The couple say they're only talking now about their life to raise awareness. Bianca had breast augmentation and laser hair

removal, and before the pregnancies, Nick took testosterone to help change his appearance and had surgery to remove his breasts. “My pregnancy was not the norm for a lot of people and so they stared,” he says, admitting that the whole experience was “a daily struggle” because he hated the way his body changed. He eventually gave birth by caesarean section, saying: “It cut out part of the very female process of giving birth.” Meanwhile, Bianca says she's glad to escape the pain of childbirth. The couple say they would change their genitalia if they could, but they don't have the money for it and, ultimately, “the children come first.”

everything changed. Maurer and his family ran a s u c c e s s f u l fundraiser to pay for the operation, and after a 14 hour procedure, he emerged 150 pounds lighter and free of the enormous growth (the surgery also removed excess fat). A month later, he's still struggling to walk, but he seems hopeful. "It's going to be a learning curve," he said after the surgery. "And if you don't have a good heart going into it, you're never going to achieve anything."

This week, the Moon forms an unhelpful and then helpful link to your ruling planet, Mars. It's possible you might experience the reverse in terms of what you deem to be unhelpful and helpful. The coming week brings a need to vent frustration followed by a need to control passion and it's the passionate element that might be the source of difficulty. Aries people are known to be passionate and when you feel your temperature rise, it can be difficult for you to control what needs controlling. The coming week brings a much-needed chance to release emotions and feelings that have been bottled up for too long. As long as you don't misread passion for aggression, then all will be fine.

In addition to a New Moon in your sign this week, Mars and Neptune are taking a swipe at each other. The implication here surrounds 'where are you going wrong?' This might even have more of an effect on someone close to you but the sky suggests certain lessons aren't being learned and previous experience is being ignored. For many Librans, this will relate directly to affairs of the heart or a somewhat harsh lesson in love. For others, it could involve an unclear or inconsistent message being sent to certain people who are becoming increasingly confused about where you stand with a particular issue or with them. There is value to be had by accepting what isn't working and putting in a place a more practical or sensible strategy.

Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 When need exists for us to visit a dentist, for example, due to discomfort we're experiencing, we tend to react to the need quite quickly. We don't want what we're feeling to worsen. We require relief as soon as it can be made available. Until such time, we have to endure a brief, sensitive situation. The above analogy sums up a situation in your world this week as the sky speaks clearly of possible 'oversensitivity' on your part. You can't help what you feel. Neither can you control situations or individuals with potential to make you feel overly sensitive. You can, however, believe that what you experience is temporary and intended to spur you into taking action to remedy it.

Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 Who is on your side? Who supports you and your endeavors? Who makes an effort to show they care or are at least thinking about you? Such questions are likely to have played an integral part in your thinking during recent months, and this week's very positive development surrounding your ruling planet moving forward from a five-month slumber is likely to put such questions well and truly under a spotlight. You're likely to find yourself assessing or reassessing various relationships in your world and who you believe is worthy of your friendship or support and who hasn't proved themselves worthy of both. Such is life. Sometimes, we need to create space for something or someone more appropriate. Give Pluto a chance to awaken properly and see what get transformed in your personal world.

Gemini May 22 - Jun 22

Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21

'You say you want a revolution, well you know, we all want to change the world'. So went the first overtly political Beatles song. Perhaps you aren't feeling too inclined to change the world but the coming week contains aspects that strongly suggest you're likely to feel inclined to bring about your own mini revolution in some way. Something from the past needs to be let go of if essential space is to be made for something more appropriate for your future. You're being encouraged to bring about change where it's long overdue. Whilst the process is unlikely be finalized during the coming week, you're likely to look back at this period as being pivotal to change being introduced that involves releasing outdated ideas, beliefs - or individuals.

Many people make considerable sums of money running seminars that explain how luck is not something we're blessed with but something we make happen through our own efforts. Yet, many other people believe luck is something we experience sometimes without having to toil or persevere. Perhaps, one day, someone will run a seminar that explains both sides of the situation. Regardless of your stance, this week brings a fortuitous link between Jupiter and Uranus. This aspect is renowned for assisting with luck and ensuring we're in the right place, at the right time to benefit from it. Be receptive this week to the likelihood of luck finding you. Make yourself available wherever possible and let an open mind be your guide this week.

Cancer Jun 23 - Jul 23

Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20 Many people believe that, to be a good salesperson, you need to have 'the gift of the gab'. In other words, belief exists that people who talk excessively possess the ability to eventually wear a potential buyer down with their incessant chatter - or know how to say the right words, at the right time, in the right way to gain a buyer's trust. This week, the sky speaks clearly of your ability to do the latter. Your input will be required in some way and it's likely a particular person you're close to will require placating in some way. This is a sensitive situation and you'll need to choose your words carefully but you're being presented with a superb opportunity to express yourself openly and honestly in ways that might be long overdue. Provided you use your charm responsibly, all will be fine. Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 'Don't worry, it'll be worth it in the end'. People say such things to others when going gets tough and a reassessing if effort invested in a particular area is worth the return. We know how the saying (or song) goes about what tough people do when the going gets tough and this week brings evidence that your perseverance and effort in a particular area is likely to pay some form of dividend. For some time, you've shown support to an individual or possibly an organization and wondered if or when you'd ever see signs of doing so being worthwhile. Prepare to experience reassurance where you've wanted to see it and this can only ensure more comes your way in future by continuing to support whatever or whoever your support has been aimed at. Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 'Wake up and smell the roses'. This saying is apparently derived from two popular sayings, being 'wake up and smell the coffee' and 'always stop and smell the roses'. The first relates to the need to become aware of something and take action before it's too late. The second relates to the need to stop from time to time to do nothing more than appreciate life itself and the gift it is. This week brings a need for you to do both. There's something you need to accept, a fact needs facing and action is required on your part to resolve a particular issue. Yet, there's something to be gained from this. Freedom you'll experience soon will play some part in you being glad to be alive. Just get what needs dealing with done and out of the way first.

When people use the phrase 'learning curve' what exactly do they mean? Learning anything is often not straightforward and requires a few twists and curves. Where your relationship with a certain person is concerned, you've been involved in a somewhat steep learning curve for some time. It's important not to overlook or ignore what you have learned through various experiences and how this knowledge can be put to very effective use now, particularly this week. Venus's helpful link to Saturn implies it is up to you to provide a stabilizing influence between you and a certain person. It's time to apply your experience to a potentially tense or uncertain situation. The result could be a stronger bond between you.

Leo Jun 24 - Aug 23 People often say 'change is as good as a rest'. You could be inclined to say you'd prefer more rest than change in light of pressure you've experienced in recent months. Perhaps, you've grown very used to this and the last thing you want to have to deal with is change to what you know and understand to be working in an effective way but change is occurring to a process that commenced back in April and this has to do with routines, or possibly one in particular, no longer relevant or appropriate. You've had several months to prepare for a new way of working or altering what your daily routine comprises. From this week, something shifts into a new gear and what has been discussed or in the pipeline since April moves one noticeable step closer to reality.

One of the Three Little Pigs grasped the concept of firm foundations and stability. If something is to withstand certain external forces, then it has to be built accordingly. This week's New Moon is likely to do much to stabilize or at least reassure you that your financial or possibly material position is stronger or holds more potential to be stronger than you realized. A fresh start is on offer in some ways but a particular process has taken a few weeks to reach the point it is at now and whatever finance-related venture or project you're embarking upon now is blessed with high likelihood of success. New developments could bring one or two individuals holding their hands out for financial assistance from you in some way but it's nothing you can't deal with satisfactorily.

The following is a myth busting info page covering different songs or bands each week chosen by one of our many loyal readers, Please Enjoy…Icehouse “Touch the fire”

Icehouse Icehouse are an Australian rock band, formed as Flowers in 1977 in Sydney. Initially known in Australia for their pub rock style, they later achieved mainstream success playing new wave and synthpop music and attained Top 10 singles chart success in both Europe and the U.S. The mainstay of both Flowers and Icehouse has been Iva Davies (singersongwriter, record producer, guitar, bass, keyboards, oboe) supplying a d d i t i o n a l musicians as required. The name Icehouse, w h i c h w a s adopted in 1981, comes from an old, cold flat Davies lived in and the strange building across t h e r o a d populated by itinerant people. Davies and Icehouse extended the use of synthesizers particularly the Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 ("Love in Motion", 1981), Linn drum machine ("Hey Little Girl", 1982) and Fairlight CMI (Razorback trailer, 1983) in Australian popular music. Their best known singles on the Australian charts were "Great Southern Land", "Hey Little Girl", "Crazy", "Electric Blue" and "My Obsession"; with Top Three albums being Icehouse (1980, as Flowers), Primitive Man (1982) and Man of Colours (1987).

Man of Colours was still the highest selling album in Australia by an Australian band. Flowers' popularity was recognized when they were awarded the 1980 TV Week / Countdown Rock Awards 'Johnny O'Keefe New Talent Award' ahead of The Dugites, INXS and Karen Knowles. They were also nominated for 'Best Album' and 'Best Album Cover' for Icehouse but lost on both to Cold Chisel's East, Iva Davies was nominated as 'Best Songwriter' but lost to Cold Chisel's Don Walker. At the award ceremony, Flowers performed "Icehouse" with Davies framed within a cube of white neon tubing. In early 1981, Flowers signed to Chrysalis Records for European, Japanese, UK and U.S. releases; they had to change their name due to legal restrictions and to prevent confusion with a Scottish group The Flowers. Their last performance under the name Flowers was on 27 June 1981 at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, they chose the name of their album to become known as Icehouse. As Icehouse, the band spent the second half of 1981 touring the UK, Canada and U.S.; whilst Chrysalis released most of their Flowers material under the name Icehouse. The single "Icehouse" was released in Europe and created some interest in the UK, partly because of a video directed by Russell Mulcahy; while in the U.S. the song peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart in 1981. "Icehouse" had been written by Davies when he lived at 18 Tryon Road, Lindfield in an old, cold flat of a two-storey mansion across the street was a dishevelled house which had its lights on all night peopled by short term residents. Davies later learned it was a half way house for psychiatric and drug rehab patients. The first U.S. single "We Can Get Together" peaked at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. A single-only release, "Love in Motion", was recorded by Davies using the Sequential Circuits Prophet 5, and became the first new recording credited to Icehouse; it hit the Australian Top 10 in November 1981. Icehouse split up late in 1981, Keith Welsh later becoming manager of Australian bands Do-Ré-Mi and Boom Crash Opera.

SURGERY A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away." The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?" "Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.. "How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something." The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head. The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out of the room. A few minutes later he returned with a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately sniffed the bird from head to foot.

The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room. The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck." The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman.. The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead!" The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150. What is Celibacy? Celibacy can be a choice in life, Or a condition imposed by circumstances. While attending a marriage weekend, my wife and I, listened to the instructor declare, 'It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other.." He then addressed the men, 'Can you name and describe your wife's favourite flower?' I leaned over, touched my wife's hand gently, and whispered, 'Self-raising, isn't it?' And thus began my life of celibacy..........

It lies down in the feet of Mount Batur and Mount Abang. The surrounding of the lake is a favorite place for picks you self up. At lake Batur you can see the scenic view and feel cool atmosphere. Bangli's mountainous region centers around the spectacular volcanic crater (or caldera) of Batur. Mount Batur itself is actually just a small volcano, but its setting is in the heart of a huge crater. Adjacent to the volcano is the large crescentshaped Batur L a k e , a l l surrounded by the high walls of the crater rim. As the road rises steadily from Bangli or Tampaksiring, nothing in the surrounding grey landscape of bushes and garden plots suggest the presence of a volcano. But over, one more small ridge a dizzying view awaits the eyes, encompassing the crater and beyond. From Penelokan, the main road runs right round the rim towards Kintamani, the panorama shifting as circling around the crater. The sheer size of the crater conjures up images of the massive eruption of the original

Mount Batur that occurred tens of thousands years ago. The volcano is still active today as Balinese still remember the great eruption of 1917. It claimed thousands of lives and destroyed hundreds of temples. Other eruptions have taken place since forcing the local population to be relocated, along with several of their t e m p l e s , including the main Bali Temple, Pura Ulun Danu. Initially inside the huge crater, this temple has been relocated to the top of the ridge overlooking it. Here it now o f f e r s a n impressive view of Mount Batur. Located less than an hour from north Bangli. Danau Batur is Bali's largest lake and cribbed with the calderas of an active volcano named Gunung Batur.
