BALI THE RIGHT WAY Gday again punters and welcome to another run at the weekly. A fairly lack lustre week has slipped by with the highlight not being my $60 lost on Friday night as the Hawks dropped the ball against the Swans, nor was any joy had as the newsrooms around the world kept whacking on and on and on about that damn plane that has incredibly disapeared, it was in actual fact Mothers Day that made the week special for many of us. I unfortunately, along with so many of my good friends, lost my mother a aliasj@kutaweekly.com few years back but was happy to celebrate the day with good friends and family. I think we all owe a debt of gratitute to the mums of the world and I speak for everyone, when I say, I hope you all enjoyed your Mothers Day no matter where you were. Moving along this week we have a new inclusion to the paper being Wet Balls Of Bali. These guys have got it going on I can tell you. The first thing that took me by surprise was the sign at the front of the store that reads, “Please Come In And Touch My Wet Balls” Now I know a few of you couldn't resist going in there and actually running your hands through the large and the small wet balls that are in the shop and I forgive the degenerates that are thinking this is some sort of house of ill repute, however I will say the shop is great and the Wet Balls are a great idea for the busy Villa owner. They sell all manner of items and I would defy anyone that goes into the shop to not want to buy something that they have in there for sale. There was one particular item that they sell that took my fancy being a “Bag for Bullshit” and after getting the run down on what they are for, I had to take a bag of 5. There are so many times that these bags could have been used while I have lived here, and literally, I would have to buy a truck load to ensure I had enough. Who knows maybe it's the low calibre of some of the people that I have sat and listened to over the years or the crap that some of these expats seem to spew forth, but whatever it is, I can say the “Wet Balls” people have got it sorted. They have fish bowls, tanks, ambient lighting and many many items that are a first to the island. They are open every day and are right in the thick of things in Legian Street. I am also told that if you mention the Kuta Weekly you will get a further discount to the already really well priced things they are selling. I trust that most of our loyal readers will get in and check out the store when you get a chance and thank the powers that be at Wet Balls for jumping in and sponsoring the Kuta Weekly as we cant do it without sponsors. Getting 3000 copies per week on the ground in and around Kuta is no easy task. Pushing forward as the page becomes shorter, I would like to reflect back onto some mail that we received this week from readers with the dominant subject being my rant on tight arse expats that live here and spoil the quiet, peaceful existance that we all like due to their constant complaining about how much things cost. Unfortunaletly I cant publish anything this week as space is tight, not to mention the swear words that we will not edit from any correspondence, but I will say that the mood was generally the same as my opinion being “Go back to where you came from if you cant afford to live here” I cant stress to you enough that the complaining expat is the worst kind of person that you can mix with while you are here and will do nothing more than cause you grief on this island. The same goes for these people that work without a permit and ever more so for the people who deliberately dodge the tax liability that they have on the island. Stay clear form these type of people if you want to make it on this island. I would particularly like to thank Mr Franklin who put it in such a way that seemed to make sense rather simply saying “you wouldn't entertain that type of person in your home country then why would you entertain them here” Great words of wisdom my friend and I look forward to more contributions from you in the future. Again if you aren't in a position to be here NO-ONE WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT IT.

A s s e a creatures go, they don't come much uglier than this. S h r i m p fishermen in the Gulf of M e x i c o caught a rare g o b l i n shark. The fishermen were stunned when the 5.5m pink shark, with a long, protruding snout and over the top of rows of teeth, was pulled up in their nets. "I didn't even know what it was," lifetime fisherman Carl

Moore told the Houston Chronicle. "I didn't get the tape measure out because that thing's got some wicked teeth, they could do some damage." The creature was thrown back into the water, but was captured in pictures. "This is

great n e w s , " National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administratio n s h a r k expert John Carlson said. "This is only the s e c o n d confirmed sighting in the Gulf, the majority of specimens are found off Japan or in the Indian Ocean and around South Africa." Goblin sharks usually inhabit the seas at depths of around 100m.

An Ipanema Boondoggle? Badung Bali Lawmakers Want to Travel En Masse to Brazil to Promote Tourism Members of the Badung House of Representatives (DPRDBadung) are planning a comparative study trip to Brazil at an estimated cost of Rp. 1.5 billion (US$130,000). Seen as a privilege of office and as a reward for retiring lawmakers, such grand tours are an annual affair. Last year the DPRDBandung visited Thailand and Australia. According to The Bali Post, all 40 members of the DPRD Badung will be entitled to join the proposed tour to Brazil that is also be used to promote tourism from Brazil to Bali. One source at the DPRD-Bali told the Bali Post that the lawmakers wished to travel to a distant locale and see the preparations for the World Cup while at the same timepromoting tourism. The plans for the visit are still loose and unorganized. The Council Secretariat (Setwan) told The Bali Post that the DPRD-Badung is still trying to arrange an agenda for the

10

visit, admitting there were no pressing pending agenda items between Bali and Brazil that could serve as the rationale for promoting tourism to that South American nation. I Wayan Puspa Negara, the chairman of the legislative agency (Banleg) of the DPRD-Bali defended the trip, saying lawmakers could examine football stadiums being built for the 2014 World Cup and visit Copacabana Beach to discover why it is more famous than Bali's Kuta Beach. According to NusaBali, one unspoken function of the trip is to serve as a farewell gift for members of the House who were not re-elected to another term in the parliament. Puspa Negara did not explain how educating retiring legislators via an expensive trip

contribute to the collective knowledge of the Badung Parliament. In 2013, a total of 9.379 Brazilians visited Bali as tourists. As a market share of all foreign visitors Brazil comprises 0.29% and of the 170 nations tracked by Bali Tourism, Brazil ranks as the 97th most important market for the island The secretary of the DPRD told the press that plans to visit Brazil were, at this stage, merely an aspiration of the legislators, but had yet to be finalized. Hong Kong was also being considered for the trip For such a trip to materialize the DPRD-Badung would have to receive formal authorization for the trip from Bali's governor and the Minister of the Interior. Another former official said that planners of the trip were still trying to obtain an formal invitation to visit Brazil, looking for a major event to attend and justify the promotion of tourism as the basis for the legislative study-tour journey. www.balidiscovery.com

Man suspected of stealing toilet tank Seattle police are looking for a man suspected of stealing the toilet tank from a restaurant bathroom as workers at a Subway sandwich franchise prepared his family's meal, police said. The man went to the Subway shop in West Seattle with his family. After placing an order, he entered the restroom and remained inside even after his wife knocked on the door, asking why he was taking so long, and then left without him, Seattle police said in a statement. When the man eventually emerged from the bathroom, he hurriedly exited the store in possession of a large plastic garbage bag, police said. An employee who later entered the bathroom discovered the toilet tank was missing. In addition, the bathroom sink

was stuffed full of paper towels and still running, while the bathroom key was gone, police said. Subway workers valued the stolen toilet tank at $550, police said. Witnesses at the scene were able to provide police with a description of the man, who remains at large, police said.

Liver-Detoxifying Green Juice Recipe

The more I educate myself on the liver, the more I realize that a healthy liver is necessary for a healthy body. Digestion, the lymphatic system, blood sugar, and the skin are all directly related to your liver. The liver works to filter out toxins, so keeping your

liver in tip-top shape is so important to keep your body functioning properly. The veggies and fruit found in this Liver Detox Juice all help keep the liver healthy, so try this Liver Detox Juice today for a healthy, happy liver! (And bright, glowing skin — because lets face it, we all want that.

Directions: Wash and prepare your ingredients. Turn on your juicer to the slowest setting and juice the bok choy and dandelion greens first. Then, turn up the setting a level to juice the lemon. Lastly, turn up the setting again and juice the pineapple, ginger, lemongrass, and cucumber.

Makes approximately 2 12ounce servings of fresh juice. Ingredients: 2 small heads of bok choy (or 1 large head) 10 dandelion greens (leaves and stems) 1 lemongrass stem 1 lemon (peeled) 1 cucumber (remove the skin if it's not organic) 1-inch piece of ginger (peeled) 1/2 pineapple (outer skin and top removed)

Give the juice a good stir and serve immediately. Some people find it nice to add a few ice cubes to the juice to make it a little cooler. Please note: You can store this juice for up to 24 hours. Pour it into an airtight container, leaving as little airspace as possible to reduce oxidation, and store it in the refrigerator. Tupperware jars and lids work really well for this.

SuperFooty suggests statements that no AFL footy fan would say following the first “bye round” of 2014

Don't you feel like the season has been stolen from you a little? The 18 games in 18 days pre-season concept didn't really take off, then we had that frustratingly stagnant opening round played across 10 days. Now we must endure three consecutive bye weeks with matches spread, not just across the weekend, but into the early and latter stages of the working week. Playing a game on a Monday night then a Thursday night during rounds where only six games is a mystifying act of scheduling. Just when you thought the season was gathering momentum ... Speaking of losing momentum. The AFL has made a few rule changes over recent seasons that have aimed to keep the game flowing, such as decreasing the number of interchange rotations. Recalling a poor bounce, however, does not fit this vision of continuation. Players seem just as frustrated as fans when they are forced to return to their original positions following an inaccurate bounce. Like our favourite video review system — it is inevitable that will appear in a future #saidnofootyfanever column — it is an unnecessary delay and inconvenience. Just throw the footy up. Today's coaches never shut up about team defence, team presses, team zones and spreading the scoring load.

18

But Josh Kennedy's flawless 11-goal haul against GWS was damn good fun to watch. (Condolences, of course, if you are a Giants fan). He created an atmosphere at Subiaco Oval that felt like an enlarged, vociferous Bay 13. As supporters clapped Kennedy in during a set-shot for goal, it felt as if fans were cheering on Brett Lee at his quickest, steaming in from the MCG's Southern Stand end at dusk when one-day international cricket was in its prime. Even in the modern game, a big bag from a big forward still encapsulates fans like no other individual effort can. More of it, please. All of us have had a gutful of this story for a while. We're over the analysis and commentary of the potential consequences. We've lost count of the number of twists and turns the Essendon doping scandal has taken. In an ideal world, the sooner we know the future of these Bombers players — there are reports ASADA could distribute show-cause letters as soon as this week — the better. Unfortunately for many impatient fans, these show-cause letters are just the first link in a long, long chain, with the final potential link being penalties handed down by the AFL antidoping panel. But we have to get to the bottom of this story. Have patience, because the proverbial is about to hit the fan. You know what would be funny? If you put the AFL's match review panel and last week's tribunal and appeals board in the same room and asked the same question. That would be an interesting

conclusion. The more we analysed Jack Viney's Round 7 “bump” — or should that be “brace” — on Tom Lynch, the blurrier the line between the two verbs became and the more AFL-is-turning-intonetball calls were uttered. The AFL community breathed a unanimous sigh of relief when Viney's case was upheld. But are we better for the experience? One thing is for certain: Mark LeCras, Jarryd Roughead, Marc Murphy, Liam Jones and Paul Duffield will be second-guessing themselves before they lay their next bumps, following their respective incidents over the weekend. It just hasn't clicked with some players. If they choose to bump, they are responsible for any injuries caused to their opponents. Now, if only we can decide on exactly what a “bump” is. Some say Joel Selwood is currently the best captain in the competition. But the Bombers skipper has to be mentioned in the same argument. As his rusty teammates struggled against a tenacious Lions side last Saturday, Watson rose above every other player on the ground and willed his team to victory. He finished with 35 touches — 16 were contested — eight clearances and one goal. More impressively, he applied nine tackles and 23 pressure acts. Essendon fans are lucky to have a player like Watson, who oozes such class and leadership, on their side. Interesting question: By career's end, will Jobe be remembered as Tim's son? Or will Tim be remembered as Jobe's dad?

Paul Roos calls for greater transparency from umpires after baffling Crameri free kick MELBOURNE coach Paul Roos has called for greater transparency from the AFL umpires department in regard to rule interpretations throughout the season. A frustrated Roos acknowledged the umpires had a very difficult job, especially given the rule and interpretation changes in recent years, but said there needed to be more communication – perhaps even with a weekly email - for the sake of coaches, players and, most importantly, the football public. “If there is a weekly email from the umpires saying 'look we feel the umpires are umpiring really well (with) this, this and this, but we feel like the 50-metre penalty or hands in the back rule (needs attention)',” Roos said. “Let's not call it 'the rule of the week' but say the umpires are

refocusing on something.” Roos' frustration comes from a crucial decision paid against Lynden Dunn on Saturday night, which gave Bulldog Stewart Crameri the chance to kick the match-sealing goal. While AFL umpires coach Hayden Kennedy stood by the decision on Monday, Roos is still bemused that AFL clubs were not informed of significant rule interpretation changes ahead of the

season. “If Hayden is saying that's a free kick on Lynden Dunn, then that's a free kick ... but how many of us at the game thought it wasn't a free kick,” Roos said. “It's not a criticism of the umpires. Let's not confuse this with a criticism of the umpires. “What I am saying is the rules have changed so significantly and the interpretations have changed so dramatically from last season to this season that not only the coaches, but the fans don't know (what will be paid and what won't). “I think Ross Lyon mentioned the other week (that) he didn't know the rules. I am not sure that I don't know the rules, but to be perfectly frank, some of the decisions I have no idea how they get paid ... when the rules change so often over the break.”

Martin Kennedy will be axed for the Broncos round 10 clash against the Titans BRONCOS coach Anthony Griffin will axe Martin Kennedy for Friday night's clash against the Titans paving the way for Ben Hannant to return from the Ipswich Jets. Griffin is set to drop his second selection bombshell in as many weeks today, with Kennedy to pay the price for his dismal performance against the Cowboys last Friday night. In the ultimate game of musical chairs, Kennedy will replace Hannant in the Ipswich side for their Intrust Super Cup clash with Easts

Tigers this weekend. Kennedy, who is on a $400,000 salary at the Broncos, felt Griffin's fury after making just three hit-ups for 30 metres in Brisbane's 27-14 loss to North Queensland. Meanwhile, Hannant, on the

outer just a week ago, is set to be catapulted into the Broncos' 17-man squad after a strong showing for the Jets last Saturday night. Kennedy was on the verge of his Origin debut just 12 months ago but is now fighting to save his career at Red Hill after struggling to make an impact in the opening eight weeks. Hannant remains off-contract at season's end, but can take another step towards securing a new deal with a bumper performance against the Titans this week.

Coach Wayne Bennett will wield the axe with three forwards set to be dumped from his side U N D E R f i r e Newcastle fullback Darius Boyd is “miles away” from his best form according to Knights CEO Matt Gidley but the former champion centre says the same goes for most of the side's backline. C o a c h Wa y n e Bennett will wield the axe with three forwards set to be dumped from the side after Sunday's 32-10 capitulation to Penrith. The return of veterans Jeremy Smith and Willie Mason and young prop Korbin Sims can't come quick enough as the side prepares for next Monday night's horror road trip to face Manly at Brookvale Oval. Young backrower Joseph Tapine, whose debut was one of the

only positives to come out of the Panthers loss, is considered a good chance of being retained in the squad. But while Bennett will look to shake up his underperforming pack, Gidley says the form of the backline should also be under plenty of scrutiny. “Darius is miles away from his best but you could say that about nearly all the backline,”Gidley said.

lethal backlines in the competition but you wouldn't know it the way most of them are playing. “They really sparked us last season and given they are all young guys on the way up, I'd have thought they'd have kicked on. I think there'll be a bit to say to quite a few of the guys this week.” Despite only two wins from their opening nine games, Bennett does not find himself in completely unchartered waters. In 1999, the Bennett-coached Brisbane Broncos picked up just one win and a draw from their opening 10 matches. But that year with the likes of Darren Lockyer, Gorden Tallis, Wendell Sailor and Shane Webcke in the team, they then won 11 straight games to sneak into the play-offs.

Marshall trained with the Dragons for the first time in Wollongong on Tuesday after signing a twoand-a-half-deal with the NRL club on Friday. Price said he was happy with Marshall's fitness after his time with Super Rugby's Auckland Blues, but wasn't yet sure whether to throw the former Kiwis captain straight back into the NRL against the Eels at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday. “I won't be naming Benji (in the team on Tuesday),” said Price. “I thought he trained well today but it is a long week and there are still a few things we need to tick off before we actually get down that path. “It is about making sure he is right and ready to go and he has the kilometres in his legs and he understands our structures and our systems in place. “I don't think it would be too much of an expectation (for him to play) it isn't that long he has been out of the game. “We will make a call as we go in the coming days. “I can't give a definite answer whether he will be in the (NSW Cup side Illawarra) Cutters or playing against Parramatta. “It is still too early to tell.” Marshall's former side Wests Tigers, who he left at the end of 2013, are reportedly demanding $150,000 in compensation before he will be allowed play for the Dragons. Price said he was confident the issue wouldn't stand in the way of Marshall making his Dragons debut this weekend if selected. “I'm sure that will get fixed up,” Price said. “That is a decision between the NRL and

Astronaut gives speech from space .University of Connecticut alumnus Rick Mastracchio took a break from orbiting the globe on the International Space Station to deliver an address to students graduating from the university's School of Engineering. With a large black UConn banner and UConn baseball cap floating behind him, Mastracchio hovered between two space suits and spun upside down several times during the prerecorded address for the 400 graduates and a crowd of about 5,000 at the university. "I could not be there with you on this big day, but being in space I was trying to figure out how to make this speech different than all the other commencement

addresses that are given each year," he said. "And then I realized I'm in a weightless environment. So maybe, I should give the speech in a different orientation." Mastracchio, 54, who is on an eight-month stint on the space station, then floated upside down, before spinning back to an upright position, bringing laughs and cheers from graduates and their families. “I probably have the best job

on and off the planet," he said. K a z e m Kazerounian, dean of the engineering school, who set up the speech from space, said: "Many of us, faculty and students, were inspired to become engineers because of space exploration and this was a perfect way to bring more reality to our dreams." Mastracchio, who will return to Earth next week aboard a Russian spacecraft after completing his fourth trip into space, had a final message as he grabbed and put on the UConn baseball cap. "Go Huskies," he said, referring to the nickname for the school's sports teams, as he spun upside down again.

Man seeks new lover after killing two others A man who appeared on a T u r k i s h television dating show in search of a new partner shocked the audience by revealing he had murdered his former wife and a former lover. S e f e r Calinak, 62, told Flash TV's Luck of the Draw he had served prison sentences for each of the murders and had been released under an amnesty programme. "I'm an honest person looking for a new wife," he told the

“She was accidentally killed when I swung the axe.” Calinak was asked to leave the show by the host, prompting applause from the studio audience, in an episode which made headlines in Turkish newspapers. However, he said that he was simply the victim of "destiny". “Bad luck always found me,” he said. “Despite everything, I still want to get married. This time I'll leave it to God.”

Colorado lawmakers approve pot bank plan Colorado lawmakers have approved the first financial system for the marijuana industry, a network of uninsured co-operatives designed to give pot businesses a way to access basic banking services. The plan seeks to move the marijuana industry away from its cash-only roots. Banks routinely reject pot businesses for even basic services such as cheque accounts because they fear running foul of federal law, which considers marijuana and its proceeds illegal. The result: Pot shop owners deal in large amounts of cash, which makes them targets for criminals. Or they try to find ways around the problem, like drenching their proceeds in air freshener to remove the stink of marijuana and try to fool traditional banks into accepting their money. Colorado became the first state to allow recreational pot sales, which started January 1. Washington state will follow suit, with retail sales expected to start in July. The US Treasury Department in February said banks could serve the marijuana industry under certain conditions.

With the industry emerging from the underground, states want to track marijuana sales and collect taxes. It's a lot easier to do that when the businesses have bank accounts. But most banks have s h r u g g e d a t t h e Tr e a s u r y guidelines, calling them too onerous to accept marijuanarelated clients. The result is a marijuana industry that still relies largely on cash, a safety risk for operators and a concern for Colorado's pot regulators. The bill approved on Wednesday would allow marijuana businesses to pool money in co-operatives, but the co-ops would only take effect if the US Federal Reserve agrees to allow them to do things like accept credit cards or cheques. Democratic Governor John Hickenlooper supports the pot bank plan and is expected to sign it

BioMicrobe

into law, though a spokesman on Wednesday said he had yet to review the final language. Lawmakers from both parties supported the banking co-ops as a way to properly audit marijuana shops and to make sure they're paying all their taxes. Dispensary owners came to the Capitol this session to tell of their difficulties paying taxes and utilities in cash and the dangers of dealing in cash. "It is very easy to see somebody get killed over this issue," Marijuana Industry Group Director Michael Elliott testified in April. The plan had bipartisan support, though some Republicans said that the effort won't pass federal muster. A few banks are accepting marijuana clients in light of the federal regulations. Numerica Credit Union in eastern Washington state is accepting limited business from marijuana growers and processors, The SpokesmanReview reported. Colorado pot shop owners say a small number of credit unions will do business with them, too, though no banks or credit unions have said so publicly.

Make way for ducklings, New York style Tina Chen has her hands full as a New York City actress, director and now surrogate mother to 16 ducklings that have hatched on her high-rise apartment roof deck. L o c a l mallards, seeking safe spots for their nests, have an eye for prime real estate and often nest on high floors on Manhattan's affluent Upper East and West sides, experts say. These 16 baby birds born a week ago, are enjoying the hospitality of Chen, whose 12thfloor deck between Madison and Park Avenues has been home to wild ducklings for the last four years. They are the first of what is likely to be as many as ten broods born this season high atop New York City buildings, wildlife experts say. Chen is feeding them meals

twice a day of duck pellets and shredded greens, putting out water for them to swim in and cleaning up after them, which she says is no small task. "It's really a lot of work. The poop out there is tremendous," she said. "That's a lot of ducklings." Michelle Gewirtz, a volunteer at New York's Wild Bird Fund rehabilitation center, has been rescuing baby ducks such as those at Chen's apartment for nine years. Duck mothers look for safe nesting spots but their planning can fall short, she said. "They're not really thinking

ahead," Gewirtz said. "They want to lay their eggs where there are no predators, but they're not scoping out where there are food sources and water sources. "They have to depend on the kindness of strangers," she said. A licensed animal rehabilitator, Gewirtz will move these and other city ducklings to Central Park or to safe sanctuaries in the suburbs before they try to fly on their own. Ducklings start to fly at six to eight weeks, she said. The nesting tradition at Chen's apartment started with this mother duck's own mother, the actress said. Most ducklings survived, although some fell victim to harsh weather or predators. Chen said she has not named the babies but might give their mother a name. "She comes back every year, now so she should have a good name," Chen said. "I have to give her a lucky name."

15 May - 21 May 2014

Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 Prepare for an interesting revelation. There's something you need to learn or at least begin to understand. You might not believe it necessary to embark upon a new learning curve or one that appears enforced in some way. It's important you have faith in the fact that what it is you're to discover won't be a painful or intense experience. The cosmos promises it will be very much the opposite provided you're receptive to learning whatever it is you need to grasp understanding of. Allow what needs to be revealed to you to find its way to you. Be receptive and patient.

Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 When we opt for an easier life, we'll avoid situations or discussions we believe are draining or time consuming. We believe there are more constructive things we could be doing and ignore certain discussions we really ought to be having. For some time, you believe you've had reasons for steering clear of something or someone that you know, in your heart, needs acknowledged or a response. It's time to push aside a fear and instigate a much needed discussion. You need to be supportive in a particular way and can trust someone else will appreciate your doing so. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 Some of the most influential people achieved wonderful things through being stubborn. Many were very defiant. They pursued relentlessly their belief in something and wouldn't be swayed or influenced by anyone who had anything other than something positive to contribute. You appear to be doing something similar. You know what you want to make happen. You know what you need to do. Ignore those who seem to think you're misguided or chasing a proverbial rainbow. There are times when Scorpion stubbornness is a wonderful thing and now is such a time.

Gemini May 22 - Jun 22 Somewhere in your world, there exists a need to be 'cruel to be kind'. You have, for some time, accepted a need to be supportive of a certain person or plan and they've grown used to you doing so but something has shifted of late and an arrangement that has worked for some time is likely to be showing signs of no longer being as suitable or appropriate. You need to distance yourself from a commitment. An arrangement between you and someone else needs to be reviewed or reassessed. Trust that this can only help you and them.

Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21 When something appears very straightforward, we have every reason to believe others see what we see. If we believe certain facts to be clear or a situation to be transparent, then we tend not to see why further thought or assessing is required. It appears you've had one such 'train of thought' and can see clearly the reality of a situation. Others, however, don't appear to be as quick to see what you can see. Soon, you will be well placed to enlighten them. In the meantime, have confidence in your ability to have proper grasp of the reality of a certain situation.

Cancer Jun 23 - Jul 23 Is a half empty glass of water really half empty? No, because it's full of water and air. A pessimist focuses on what's missing. An optimist recognizes what exists. This week, you're being encouraged to decide how you want to view a particular scenario that could cause you to feel either pessimistic or inspired. There is inspiration to be drawn from a situation that only requires you to change your attitude toward it if you're unable to change any other aspect of it. Be willing and flexible enough to see what is very positive in what's unfolding now.

Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20 This week, the equivalent of a big, invisible planetary hand intends to push, one at a time and with one fell swoop, particular issues that have preoccupied your thinking time and sapped much of your energy. If that sounds too good to be true, then watch what the cosmos has in store during coming days. Expect clear and tangible progress with more than one struggle you've grown used to coping with. You deserve relief and can trust that it's coming. All you need to do is be willing to let go of what and whom needs letting go of.

Leo Jun 24 - Aug 23 Don't ask for advice. Avoid requesting input. Refrain from seeking opinion. It appears many people are willing to offer all of the above but risk surrounds you being discouraged from pursuing something your heart knows you must do. Others don't know as much about a sensitive situation as you do. You know there is something you must do and, this week, you can bring about a heartwarming development that will please and reassure you greatly and silence others. You know what you're doing. That's what matters.

Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 Children, when they become distressed at not getting what they want, sometimes become oblivious to someone actually offering what it was they wanted. All they hear initially is a negative response and focus so intently on their own response that they fail to see how what they asked for has become available. This week, don't be quick to respond negatively to something you believe is unavailable. You risk missing it altogether through being so determined to make a point. Be willing to see how what you want or need really is available to you.

Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 They say 'it's the little things that count' in life. We also understand 'it's the thought that counts'. By that rationale, an unselfish thought combined with a seemingly small gesture can make a huge difference in some way. An altruistic action on your behalf will not only make a big difference to someone else's world, it will transform something within your own. Don't underestimate how big a change you can bring through a single, heartfelt gesture. It could be precisely what is needed to bring you and a certain person closer together.

Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 Nobody has 'all' the answers. Life would be very dull if they did. There can be benefits to asking twelve people for their advice and getting twelve different responses sometimes. Just when we think we have assessed an issue from every angle, someone offers different perspective on it! Don't believe that, just because you have numerous options available where you'd prefer only one, that an issue is more complex than it really is. There is only one solution and with effort and faith, you will find it this week.

Businesses recognize that having such people keeping their eyes peeled to spot such things are essential if bigger, more serious issues are to be avoided. The following is a myth busting info page covering different songs or bands each week chosen by one of our many loyal readers, Please Enjoy…One Republic “Counting Stars”

One Republic One Republic is an American pop rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Formed in 2003 by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins, the band achieved commercial success on MySpace as an unsigned act. In 2003, the band was discovered by actress Kelly Barrett in Hollywood who connected them with her cousin's Jimmy Ienner and Donnie Ienner, who was the President of Sony at that time directly by making one phone call to get the AR Reps to their show. They then signed to Sony BMG for three years, before moving to Mosley Music Group. In 2007, OneRepublic released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud. Its lead single, "Apologize" was notably remixed by Timbaland, becoming a huge international success, reaching number one in sixteen countries, subsequently earning them a Grammy Award nomination. The second single, "Stop and Stare" mirrored its predecessor's success. The album was later certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The band's second album, Waking Up (2009), produced the successful singles, "All the Right Moves", "Secrets", "Marchin On", and "Good Life", the latter reaching the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. One Republic's third album, Native (2013), became the band's first top ten album on the Billboard 200, and highest charting album to date, charting at number four. The lead single, "If I Lose Myself" charted within the top ten in several countries, while the album's third single, "Counting Stars", became the band's most successful single in recent years, obtaining top five placements in Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.S. and the UK. This marks their highest charting single in the United Kingdom to date. It has also peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, matching their highest peak of "Apologize" in 2007.

Formation Reuniting in Los Angeles in 2002, Tedder and Filkins reformed their second band under the moniker Republic. Tedder, by then an established songwriter and record producer, had convinced Filkins who was living in Chicago to relocate. Nine months later, the band signed with Columbia Records. After a few line-up changes, the group finally settled with Tedder on vocals, Filkins on guitar and backing vocals, Eddie Fisher on drums, Brent Kutzle on bass and cello, and Drew Brown on lead guitar. The band's name was changed to OneRepublic after the record company mentioned that the name Republic might cause controversy with other bands. The band worked in the studio for two and a half years and recorded its first full length album. Two months before the album was due to be released, (with "Sleep" as its debut single), OneRepublic was dropped by Columbia Records. The band was beginning to gain prominence on MySpace; Tedder said it was the number-one unsigned act on MySpace, and credits the website for keeping the band together. The band caught the attention of a number of labels, including Timbaland's Mosley Music Group. The band soon signed onto the label, becoming the first rock band to do so. Musical style and influences One Republic's varied style of music has been described by Ryan Tedder: "We're no respecter of genre. If it's a good song or a good artist whether rock, pop, indie or hip hop, they've probably influenced us on some level...nothing's new under the sun, we're a sum of a bunch of parts." They cite The Beatles and U2 as heavier influences on its music. OneRepublic has expressed a desire to move listeners onstage the way U2 does. All music commented on the band's sound, "... One Republic recalls the melodies of the Fray and the vocal acrobatics of Maroon 5's Adam Levine... and often favors cathartic, cranked-up choruses." However, Tedder downplays Martin's Coldplay as an influence; "Their influences are our influences. The big difference, though, is that I come from a much wider hip-hop and urban background. I've been producing, writing and performing urban stuff, and I try to bring that into the group because we're not trying to be a British band." Drew Brown also stated: "We aren't all die-hard Coldplay fans, but because of the comparisons, we've done our research, and I'm sure we've got a large handful of common influences."

Which is good and which one is hunting . Which is worth and which ones should not . Those we can explicitly avoid mistakes that can lead us to a life of adharma . So slaughtering chickens and pigs were slaughtered in fact as a symbol for the greedy nature quarrelsome as the vices of the chicken and the properties of impurities such lazy pigs . Because the animal also has good properties instinctively . Surely it would be redundant if the Penampahan festivities we celebrate only the parties . it should be accompanied afterthought to earnestly we seek to slaughter traits are lazy and greedy may still inherent in us . Those when the next Galungan we 've become better than before Galungan. One source of human suffering in this world is because it is often fraught by nature lazy but greedy . Use means the results of our region to celebrate Galungan such as fruits , flowers , as well as other means . Prove Galungan celebration for a small number of people are getting drunk because of celebrating Galungan . Nothing speeding on the highway when Galungan . In fact we were able to demonstrate during the celebration of Galungan traffic violations dropped dramatically . Celebrating Galungan with further highlight pengumbaran lust , clearly a defeat . If it still celebrate religious holidays accentuate pengumbaran lust clearly negative numbers will be more prominent than positive numbers . For example, every celebration of Galungan actually increases traffic violation statistics . Number of people fighting for drunkenness have increased moments celebrating Galungan . Number of fouling the environment more and more . After Galungan even dirtier environment than ever before . Similarly, people admitted to hospital due to more increased when Galungan festivities misguided . A young couple wanted to join the church, the priest told them, 'We have a special requirement for new member couples. You must Abstain from sex for one whole month.' The couple agreed, but after two-and-a-half weeks returned to the Church. When the priest ushered them into his office, the wife was crying and the husband was obviously very depressed. 'You are back so soon...Is there a problem?' the priest inquired. 'We are terribly ashamed to admit that we did not manage to abstain from sex for the required month.' The young man replied sadly. The priest asked him what happened. 'Well, the first week was difficult... However, we managed to abstain through sheer willpower. The second week was terrible, but with the use of prayer, we managed to abstain. However, the third week was unbearable. We tried cold showers, Prayer, reading from the Bible....anything to keep our minds off Carnal Thoughts.

One afternoon my wife reached for a can of paint and dropped it. When she bent over to pick it up, I was overcome with lust and I just had my way with her right then and there. It was lustful, loud, passionate sex. It lasted for over an hour and when we were done we were both drenched in sweat, admitted the man, shamefacedly. The priest lowered his head and said sternly, 'You understand this means you will not be welcome in our church.' 'We know.' said the young man, hanging his head, 'We're not welcome at Bunnings, either.' A guy walked into a crowed bar, waving his 1911 Colt .45 caliber pistol with an 8 shot clip, and yelled, "I want to know who's been screwing my wife?" A voice from the back of the room called out... “You'll need more ammo!

A guy was getting ready to tee off on the first hole when a second golfer approached and asked if he could join him. The first said that he usually played alone, but agreed to the twosome. They were even after the first few holes. The second guy said, "We're about evenly matched, how about playing for five bucks a hole?" The first guy said that he wasn't much for betting, but agreed to the terms. The second guy won the remaining 16 holes with ease. As they were walking off number eighteen, the second guy was busy counting his $80.00. He confessed that he was the pro at a neighbouring course and liked to pick on suckers. The first fellow revealed that he was the Parish Priest. The pro was flustered and apologetic, offering to return the money. The Priest said, "You won fair and square and I was foolish to bet with you. You keep your winnings." The pro said, "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" The Priest said, "Well, you could come to Mass on Sunday and make a donation...... And, if you want to bring your mother and father along, I'll marry them.

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Canberra . Nothing was moving. Suddenly, a man knocks on the car window. The driver rolls down the window and asks, 'What's going on?' 'Terrorists have kidnapped the entire Lower House and Senate at Parliament House, and they're asking for a 100 million dollar ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them all in petrol and set them on fire. We are going from car to car, collecting donations.' 'How much is everyone giving, on an average?' the driver asks. The man replies, 'Roughly a litre.'

This structure is a regularly practiced procedure in Indonesia, whereby the foreigner nominates and Indonesian representative to acquire the land and to hold the 'freehold' title (Hak Milik) on behalf of the foreigner. Ownership of the land is transferred from the previous owner to the Indonesian nominee. The foreigner and the Indonesian nominee then sign an agreement which recognizes the Indonesian nominee as the legal owner of the property whilst declaring the foreigner as the rightful owner of the property. This agreement denotes that the Indonesian nominee will carry out any directives from the foreigner regarding the land. This agreement must always be concluded in the presence of a public notary.

Google advice how to avoid being a glasshole Google has given some official advice on what to do and perhaps more importantly, what not to do, while wearing the company's Google Glass smartglasses to avoid being a “glasshole”. Early adopters of Glass, derogatorily called “glassholes”, have come under fire for using it in socially unacceptable conditions where mobile phones aren't allowed, for being creepy filming people without their permission and for being rude, staring off into the distance for long periods of time. Glass has gone far beyond the confines of G o o g l e employees with its extended “Explorer” early a d o p t e r programme. As Google states, it is definitely in the company's best interest to get its first smartglass customers to behave, as “breaking the rules or being rude will not get businesses excited about Glass and will ruin it for other Explorers”. To try and help Explorers avoid being glassholes and breaking social codes, Google has compiled a list of solid suggestions pulled from the experiences of early Glass adopters, and some of them are really quite funny. Stop looking like a tech zombie Glass was designed to avoid the need to stare down at a smartphone or device to get information, placing snippets of text just outside your field of vision,

44

but that can have some pretty creepy consequences. If you find yourself staring off into the prism for long periods of time you're probably looking pretty weird to the people around you. Google helpfully suggests that reading things like Tolstoy's 1,225 pages of War and Peace probably isn't the best idea, suggesting that “things like that are better done on bigger screens”.

Use some common sense Google encourages Explorers to try Glass in all kinds of situations, but it would probably be best to avoid activities that could see wearers land on their faces. Glass is a piece of technology, so use common sense. Water-skiing, bull-riding or cage-fighting with Glass are probably not good ideas. At $1,500 (£900) a piece, Glass might be hi-tech but it is not exactly robust when it comes to high-impact sports. Glass probably doesn't contribute to a romantic meal The idea of smartglasses being worn in public is new, and people are curious. Passersby

will stop and stare, ask questions or maybe even react badly if you turn to face them, so Google helpfully suggests that taking Glass off might be the best idea. If you're worried about someone interrupting that romantic dinner at a nice restaurant with a question about Glass, just take it off and put it around the back of your neck or in your bag. Of course, you also have the fact that your date might be creeped out that you have a head-mounted camera pointed at them all n i g h t , regardless of whether or not y o u a r e recording their every move. S t o p standing in the corner of the room being creepy Apparently the temptation to record the every move of people going about their day is insatiable for some Glass Explorers. Google suggests that Glass wearers should treat the camera function like they would a mobile phone camera – ask permission and stop being creepy. “Standing alone in the corner of a room staring at people while recording them through Glass is not going to win you any friends.” Some people are pretty tetchy when it comes to being caught on camera, just ask the paparazzi.
