Kurush Mistry, a skilled commodities analyst, specializes in Crude Oil, Refined Products, and Renewable Fuels. After completing his Commerce degree in Chennai, India, he became a Chartered Accountant, achieving top ranks in all three qualifying exams. With a strong foundation, he desired to broaden his horizons and expand his knowledge, leading him to pursue an MBA at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, with a focus on finance. During this time, he gained exposure to the latest business concepts, collaborated with colleagues from diverse educational backgrounds, and honed his problem-solving and communication skills. Kurush's professional journey began in 2003 at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo, where he was recruited after his MBA to join their Interest Rate Strategies Team. This opportunity not only allowed him to apply his financial expertise to real-world situations but also exposed him to an international corporate environment and a new cultural experience. Since 2009, he has specialized in commodities research, particularly on Crude oil and refined products, and has been instrumental in creating the analytical frameworks that traders employ in their risk-taking decisions. On a personal level, Kurush has a strong passion for music, loves to travel, and takes pride in being a New Yorker.
