It has been a tremendous pleasure to witness the joining of two great corporate leaders, Mr. Munish Sapra and Mr. Atul Khosla, with the Shoolini family. Mr. Sapra has joined as new Dean Academics MBA department and Mr. Atul Khosla as Executive Head Shoolini University . This has been a blend of the corporate world and the world of academics. We welcome both with open arms.

CAREER AWARENESS WORKSHOP th

On 8 June 2011, a workshop was held in Shoolini University, Bhajol. The basic idea behind the workshop was to hold an interaction with the BBA students of SILB as well as other institutes. The workshop started with a presentation by Aspire group on personality development and communication skills. The members of the group made the students play management games and did a lot of exercises as well. After that, an interaction session with the recently selected students by Genpact was held. The selected students shared their experiences of two years in this university and motivated the newcomers.

SHOOLINI UNIVERSITY TIE UP WITH THE BRITISH COUNCIL

Shoolini University has set tie ups with the British council for the development of the communication skills of the students of the University. This will enable the students to communicate fluently in the international language along with removing all the flaws. This will further help in grooming their all-round personality by building their inner self confidence.

PRESENTATION SHIVALIK, BASE, COLORS OF INDIA

Last month, companies like Shivalik bimetals, Base Corporation and Colors of India visited Shoolini University to hold an interaction session with the students along with finding the eligible prospects. These companies gave presentations about their workings and answered the queries of the students.

Bharti Airtel to merge mobile, DTH & telemedia businesses; 2,000 jobs may be lost Bharti Airtel has embarked on a restructuring exercise that will merge three separate businesses, triggering a large-scale job cull for the first time in the services sector since the 2008 economic slowdown. Under this exercise, Bharti Airtel plans to merge its mobile, satellite TV ( DTH )), and fixed-line & broadband telemedia business, which jointly account for about 90% of the company's revenues and the vast majority of its workforce, into a single entity.

2. Government takes control of Singur Nano factory

The Mamata Banerjee government seems to be inching towards return of land from the disputed site in Singur, even as it fights a legal battle in Calcutta high court. The Tata Nano factory was virtually taken over by the Hooghly administration on Thursday. Inventory of the articles inside the abandoned site was also conducted.

3. Hero Honda becomes Hero MotoCorp Hero Honda Motors Ltd, the world's largest two-wheeler company by volume, on Friday got shareholders' approval to change its corporate name to Hero MotoCorp Ltd. The shareholders' approval will now be forwarded to the Registrar of Companies for final changes. Japan's Honda Motor is exiting Hero Honda Motors after a 27-year partnership with the Munjals' Hero Group. The joint venture was India's largest motorcycle manufacturer with more than half the domestic market.
