2.1:RING MAIN UNIT (RMU)
In an electric power distribution system, a ring main unit (RMU) is a metal enclosed set of switchgear used at the load connection points of a ring-type distribution network. It includes inoneunitoftwo switches that can connect the load to either or both main conductors, and a fusible switch or circuit breaker and switch that feed a distribution transformer.

• It has 3 terminals. 2 terminals for incomers and 1 outgoing terminal for transformer connection

• Used for connecting one transformer to utility.
2. QRM ( Quadrilateral – Ring Main Unit):
• It has 4 terminals. 2 terminals for incomers and 2 outgoing terminals for transformer connection.
• Used for connecting one transformer to utility.

2.3: HT PANEL (HIGH TENSION METERING)
HT meters are those meters in CT (Current Transformer) as well as PT (Potential Transformer) present outside the energy meter. The reason behind calling them HT (High Tension) Meters because they normally installed on the 11 kV line.

Sub Metering Panels

Submetering is the installation of metering devices with the ability to measure energy usage after the primary utility meter. Submetering offers the ability to monitor energy usage for individual tenants, departments, pieces of equipment or other loads individually to account for their actual energy usage. With submetering, a clear and accurate picture of how and when energy is being consumed inside a facility is created selectelectriccompany.com
