The Braves were led by head coach Charles “Dee� Errickson to their first conference title. OU finished the season 7-1 with its only loss to Haskell Inidan Nations University, 12-6. The Ottawa defense only allowed 27 points scored during the season. Ottawa was again led by head Coach Dee Errickson and earned its second straight Kansas Conference Football Championship. The Braves had a record of 5-3 with a three game winning streak to end the season with victories over Bethany, Kansas Wesleyan and McPherson. Kansas Conference Champions

The Braves had its first undefeated season in school history when OU finished 8-0 in 1938. OU was led by Head Coach Dick Godlove whose defense held opponents to an average 2.2 points per game.
