Our group designed all the structural steel members; joists, girders, columns, and baseplates for the proposed 2-story building station and pedestrian bridge in accordance with the Canadian Steel Design Handbook CSA S16-14. Moving further, we designed the 2D/3D model using AutoCAD, SAP 2000, and SketchUp. Apart from the structural elements, we reengineered the current signalized intersections to improve the safety and traffic issues at the entrance/exit areas. The municipal stormwater system was also upgraded and redesigned to accommodate the future population.
The last four pages are from a non-capstone project done by the same group members in a different course. The project is called Ressams Gardens Renovation in which our group designed all the 5-floor site layouts with the facilities for the retirement home located in Hamilton. In this attachment, I only showed the 3D model done by Autodesk Revit from the architectural and structural perspectives.
